Commuter Sentiments: Fare Hikes

Intro. I work in Ortigas and live in Project 8. On my way home, I take the bus until Muñoz then take a jeepney. My fare from Ortigas to Muñoz is P18 via an air-conditioned bus.

I only went to work twice last week. Since Maxyn got hospitalized and was only discharged last Monday, March 28, I decided not to work the following day so I can get some rest. I only went to work on Wednesday and Thursday. I worked from home on Friday because of another visit to the hospital and ballet recital practice. While we were at the hospital, I saw on the news that there will be a bus fare hike for the first five kilometers ONLY. It will start on March 29. I felt relieved because I will not be affected.

I was right. Last Wednesday and Thursday, I still payed my usual P18 fare.

GT: Food To Die For

Office work can be pretty boring sometimes that it makes you sleepy. And what do you do to keep yourself awake? Right, you eat! That is how I developed my bulging tummy. I sit in front of the computer for more than 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and I eat anything every two to three hours. I know, piglet!

But there are some food that I would really eat over and only allergies can stop me.

seafood bilao

We were fortunate enough that my mom worked in a place where seafood is cheap. In fact, too cheap that we consume kilos of seafood in one meal. Sky is the limit if I may say.

As for the chocolates and sweet treats, I guess it is a must for every girl’s diet. 😀

A Weekend with PMC Members

I was really hoping to blog about this as soon as we get home yesterday but I was dead-tired and my arms a hurting because of carrying my little Maxyn.

Sunday was really a good day, generally speaking. We were able to hear the mass in the morning in the chapel near us. I missed going to church and I miss the people in that chapel too! After mass, we ate lunch at home. Maxyn fell asleep and we waited for her to wake up. Hubby tinkered something with the sewing machine, something he’s been working on since Saturday night. I took the time to fix the girls’ stuff. Maybe Maxyn has some kind of ESP because when we were all finished, she woke up. 😀

Travel time to Megamall was fast but there was no parking area! I was so worried that Mon will give up and just head home. We parked in Shangri-La and just walked our way to Megamall. There, Mon and the girls searched for Ayex’s costumes for the ballet grand recital on April 16 while I went to DAD’s for the PMC Grand Eyeball.

When I arrived at DAD’s, I do not know where the moms are sitting. I asked the reception if there were reservations. I told them they were inside having lunch and they allowed me to get in. I do not know where to start to I searched the place for someone with a golden hair, Eihdra. I her standing and headed their way. These gorgeous mommies have just finished their lunch and were busy exchanging tokens and chit chats. Then I saw Peh who greeted me with Sino po kayo? May invitation po ba kayo?. Then I started receiving token from one mom to another. I got pressured and offered them a paper bag full of coin purse. It was the first time I got to meet most of them so I relied on our make-shift name tags for their names.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
