Four Eyes

After giving birth to my eldest, I was prescribed with reading glasses. I can totally live without my eyeglasses on but I should expect dryness and tiredness in my eyes.

In my previous work, I am in front of the computer for nine to twelve hours a day. So yes, that is the culprit why I experience eye spasms and severe eye strain.

Since I left my work and stayed at home with my girls, I kept my glasses in my bag. I still face the laptop at night, when the girls are asleep, but I do not wear my glasses. Well, until a couple of weeks ago. I noticed that my eyes stated to hurt after a few hours of continuously looking at the laptop without ample light (since we only use night light). So here I am now, typing with four eyes. I know I should see my ophthalmologist soon to see if my eye grade has changed. I might be given another set of prescription glasses, if that happens. I hope they’re still the same.

Battling Chaos

In as much as I wanted to greet all of you a Happy Easter in a loud and happy manner, I do not feel that way. I have been missing in the blogging world for a week now and while I remember I have to update this blog, I do not find the urge to do so. 🙁 Well, there was the Holy Week but after that, I still cannot find my writing mojo. Maybe because I feel sad and I feel that my our life is chaotic now.

sick

Last Black Saturday afternoon, we received a news through text message that my paternal grandmother is already dead. My father and his siblings are expecting this to happen. My Nanay Isay is already old and weak and has been like that for the past year or two. I know it will come but I wish I could have visited her more before she died. I have been planning to make time for it but I have so many excuses.

My mom and I were not able to attend the Easter Vigil. By 12:06am of Sunday, I received a call. It was my brother, asking us to pick him up because the jeepney he was riding home got into an accident and his ear is injured. My brother was lucky for a few reasons: 1) I forgot to put my phone on silent mode and I was able to take his call; 2) We are here and LP and hubby is here to drive and assist him; 3) Only his ear was injured and nothing more serious happened to him. It was 2am when they got back.

Moody

I have been PMS-ing the whole week and I am telling you, it sucks. I have warned my eldest and told her to refrain from doing things she knows will make me upset because I get angry really fast and easy.

I have tried doing things that I like like walking around, sewing, browsing, and even ate foods that I have been craving. Last night I bought loads of tinapa (smoked fish) and daing na tuyo (dried fish) and we cooked them today with monggo beans. I also ate junk food and chocolates but I still feel sad.

I pray for this moodiness to just pass because I have a very busy weekend coming up and I do not want this mood to get in the way (you know there are times when you just cannot control yourself).

Maybe stocking up on sleep will help. So good night gorgeous people, see you tomorrow!
