Mad About Elastic Ponies

Yesterday, Ayex and I went to Quiapo with my mom. First we heard the mass. We were lucky to have a seat because of the semenarians of Boronggan, who my mom knows. After the mass, our quest for Ayex’s United Nations costume began. In between store hopping, I bought this set of ponies. Cheap Elastic Ponies Why too many, you ask. For some reasons, all of the ponies I bought Yex before are gone now. She has medium-lenght hair and I do not want it scattered, specially on her face. Also, there are times when I play with her hair and make different styles. And since these things are cheaper in this area, I bought a few to keep. I bought these for just P30. If I go to the mall, the price could go as high as P30 per five pairs.

And yes, we were able to get Ayex her African (Comorian) costume.

ParenTIN.TV @ 2: First Bloggers Day

September 10, 2011 was the day I will not regret I became selfish. Haha! I was suppose to have a dinner out with my girlfriends the previous Saturday but I had to back out the last minute because my youngest had fever on top of her asthma attack. Both my kids were still sick that Saturday and have a follow-up check-up with our pedia but I really have to have some time off. I have been really cranky the past weeks due to tiredness of nursing two sick kids. I was so close to texting Pehpot that I could not come but a huge part of me was telling me to go. And I am so glad I listened to that other part!

After dropping off Ayex to her ballet class, I went to Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, the venue set for ParenTIN.TV’s 2nd Anniversary Celebration and 1st ever Bloggers Day. I thought I would be late but turned out, I was one of the early birds! Excited much.

The program started with a superb lunch buffet prepared by Richmonde Hotel’s executive chef, Chef Bienvendo B. Chavez. I love everything, from the salad, to the main course, to the dessert. Among all, I love the Fish Fillet in Pesto Cream Sauce and Coffee Almond Jelly.

When everyone was full, the program proper started with Ms. Tin-tin Bersola-Babao as the host. She shared with us three exciting news about ParenTIN.TV that we should watch out for.

S&R Alabang Supports Bring Your Own Bag

Last July 31, we went to S&R Alabang and celebrated my moms birthday there. After eating some delicious new york style pizza, we did their grocery shopping.

Upon check out, I noticed that the cashier are putting our stuff on half-cut cartons. Then I saw a signage that says something similar to Muntinlupa bans the use of plastic bags. I was ecstatic! You see, I am trying to limit our plastic bag usage too that is why I always carry ecobags with me wherever I go. And going to a place that fully support bring your own bag advocacy makes me really happy and giddy.

This is how our groceries look like. I feel like we shopped somewhere abroad like in the foreign TV shows.

Tips on helping the environment

Aside from Muntinlupa, I know Lusiana, Laguna also bans plastic bag usage. If these places can do it, I am sure others can follow. I wish Quezon City will be next.
