From Singapore and KSA

Yesterday, my best friend since high school paid me a visit. He arrived here in the Philippines last Tuesday but since our lives are chaotic then, we were not able to meet right away.

When I learned that he will stop over at Singapore for a day before heading here, I bugged my sister to send me some cookies. These cookies are not available here. Well it is but not the variant that I want. I was so happy to get them! Finally my craving for Ritz Cheese crackers was satisfied. Notice the verb? Was because I opened a pack last night already! 😀

And for my pasalubong from my best friend, he brought me three 700ml Pantene Smooth and Silky shampoos! Woot woot!

Thanks a bunch, Toni and Jen!

Great Deals from Save More Calamba

We went to my lola’s wake again today. It is the last night of the wake. While we wanted to stay there, we did not because we have two young children in tow and the chapel does not have a place for visitors to sleep.

When we arrived, there were visitors already. We checked out Nanay Isay then we ate snacks. Later, my cousin arrived with his family. I was happy because their children are of the same ages as my kids. Hello playmates! 🙂 They ate snacks as well then I noticed that there were a few juices left. I asked my dad if we will still buy and he said yes.

Hubby and I went to the Save More supermarket beside the chapel. Aside from tetra pack juices, we bought Quacker Oats cookies, which are on sale: buy 1, take 1. We got a total of ten packs but just paid for five. Cool, right. And the coolest part of that grocery trip was being able to buy a 1/2 kilo of ground pork for just 1 peso! They staff and crew said that every Wednesday, they have a promo. Every time a receipt is printed, cool deals are printed also. That is where we got the 1 peso coupon for the ground pork.

In this time, a 1 peso coin can only buy a piece of candy, nothing more. That deal was such a steal, don’t you agree?

Battling Chaos

In as much as I wanted to greet all of you a Happy Easter in a loud and happy manner, I do not feel that way. I have been missing in the blogging world for a week now and while I remember I have to update this blog, I do not find the urge to do so. 🙁 Well, there was the Holy Week but after that, I still cannot find my writing mojo. Maybe because I feel sad and I feel that my our life is chaotic now.

Last Black Saturday afternoon, we received a news through text message that my paternal grandmother is already dead. My father and his siblings are expecting this to happen. My Nanay Isay is already old and weak and has been like that for the past year or two. I know it will come but I wish I could have visited her more before she died. I have been planning to make time for it but I have so many excuses.

My mom and I were not able to attend the Easter Vigil. By 12:06am of Sunday, I received a call. It was my brother, asking us to pick him up because the jeepney he was riding home got into an accident and his ear is injured. My brother was lucky for a few reasons: 1) I forgot to put my phone on silent mode and I was able to take his call; 2) We are here and LP and hubby is here to drive and assist him; 3) Only his ear was injured and nothing more serious happened to him. It was 2am when they got back.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
