Browsing Jobs

In a few days time, it will be five months since I quit my full-time day job. I am not complaining. I get to enjoy the best of both worlds when permitted. But I admit I miss the time when I have my own money to spend. I am not worried because I do not see my bank statements that much. But when I do, I rack my brain because there are bills to pay and I do not have a steady income.

I am actually thinking of studying online courses to learn programming because it is really the demand these days. I am actually looking at Legacy System Programmer Jobs now to see what I should start learning.

Wish me luck!

ParenTIN.TV @ 2: First Bloggers Day

September 10, 2011 was the day I will not regret I became selfish. Haha! I was suppose to have a dinner out with my girlfriends the previous Saturday but I had to back out the last minute because my youngest had fever on top of her asthma attack. Both my kids were still sick that Saturday and have a follow-up check-up with our pedia but I really have to have some time off. I have been really cranky the past weeks due to tiredness of nursing two sick kids. I was so close to texting Pehpot that I could not come but a huge part of me was telling me to go. And I am so glad I listened to that other part!

After dropping off Ayex to her ballet class, I went to Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, the venue set for ParenTIN.TV’s 2nd Anniversary Celebration and 1st ever Bloggers Day. I thought I would be late but turned out, I was one of the early birds! Excited much.

The program started with a superb lunch buffet prepared by Richmonde Hotel’s executive chef, Chef Bienvendo B. Chavez. I love everything, from the salad, to the main course, to the dessert. Among all, I love the Fish Fillet in Pesto Cream Sauce and Coffee Almond Jelly.

When everyone was full, the program proper started with Ms. Tin-tin Bersola-Babao as the host. She shared with us three exciting news about ParenTIN.TV that we should watch out for.

Blogging and Making Money

I have said it before and I will say it again. I love blogging because it keeps me sane. I also love the fact that as I keep myself sane, I get paid to blog.

Back in 2004, I caught a former colleague laughing her heart out in her cubicle. I got curious then she told me why she was laughing hard. She asked me, Have you tried blogging?. I was probably deaf or she really did not say it loud enough for me to hear because I heard her say PLUGGING. So I told her a story how me and my classmates when into this radio station to plug about a certain event at our school as part of our project. The she cleared to me that she was asking about BLOGGING. That is how I was introduced to this online diary.

During the first years, I only blog when I am happy, angry, excited or depressed. Most of the things I wrote were about my feelings and nothing else. I guess my teenage life was not that exciting. Hahaha! Then I got married and had my first born. At this point, I was slowly learning that writing about the things that interest me could also interest others, specially the experiences of a first-time mommy.

In 2008, I met fellow moms who became my teachers and friends. They taught me how I can make money in blogging. Up to now, they are still my friends and we earn together online.

I may not be earning much at this point but I do not worry because I enjoy blogging very much, not to mention I get paid at the comforts of my pajamas. 🙂

I am participating in a blogger campaign by Bucks2Blog and was compensated. However, the views and opinions are my own.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
