Review: LayBare Waxing Salon at Rockwell Business Center

As you may know, I took a long leave from work because of Ayex’s ballet and th Holy Week observance. I only returned to work last Monday. Since then, I have been itching to check whether the LayBare Waxing Salon at the ground floor of our office building is already open. Before I took a leave, I saw that it is almost finished. I was assuming that in the two weeks that I was gone, perhaps they are already operating. But I was too busy with all the piled reports waiting to be processed.

Last Wednesday, my friend, Therese, asked me if I want to check out Nail It, a nail spa, beside LayBare. I was so thrilled when she told me that both shops are already open!

So we had an early lunch and went to Nail It. There were plenty of available therapists but their service prices are quite pricey. I ended up going to LayBare for my monthly dose of underarm hair removal. Also, I forgot to take care of my brows so I opted for some eyebrow threading too.

This is how their private treatment room looks like. I like their door and how everything looks neat and well arranged.

Therapist at LayBare Rockwell Business Center Ms. Criz is my therapist. She is very pleasant and accommodating. Since I am quite a veteran of LayBare already, I know the procedure already and I am happy to say that she was well trained. She made sure that my underarms are hairless to bits. My eyebrows have grown too much but I did not feel the pain that much as Ms. Criz kept on telling me stories to divert my attention. She has done a fantastic job! Yay, I miss Ms. Mhean of LayBare Congressional this month!

For your waxing needs, I recommend LayBare Waxing Salon. Thumbs up!

Whole Wheat Bread with Oats

I do not know what got into me but last week, I told myself that I should start eating healthier. At work, things may get boring sometimes and to keep myself awake, I resolve to eating. I told myself I should not be snacking on just any food anymore. I read from a magazine that eating many times is ok as long as you only eat 100 calories at a time.

With that, I bought this whole wheat bread with oats at the Medical City. When I feel hungry, I would slice a thick piece and munch on it. I did not feel guilty even when I eat it every hour. I did not feel deprived either as this bread really tastes good. It is not dry like the leading brands in the market. It is quite pricey though as one loaf costs PhP80. But I did not mind as I really like its taste. And I am comforted by the fact that I am eating something healthy.

I am not really dieting but I just want to be more conscious with what I eat. If I lose some weight, thanks! And if ever that happens, maybe I can take some slimvox for faster results.

PF #2: My Little Ice Cream Girl

I know we should be very careful when introducing new kind of food to our little ones. I told everyone at home about it. We tried and keep on trying until now. But how can we resist when a little girl keeps on giving us sad looks as if we are not feeding her. During exceptional times, those sad looks are accompanied with little cries. It is both funny and heart-breaking for us.

One exceptional day, Maxyn saw her Ate Ayex eating some dirty ice cream. Hubby who was carrying her bought another one for himself and Maxyn kept on reaching his hand. Hubby allowed her to try it and lo, Maxyn did not remove her hand from the cone! Later on, hubby gave in and let her hold the cone.

Look at how she enjoys eating her dirty ice cream. I bet she will be asking for more if only she could talk!

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions.
