I’m officially broke

I’m officially broke after four days of receiving my salary. Why? For the love of shopping, what else?! Hahaha!
I’ll update this blog when I already have the pictures of my latest kakikayan.

>Monday: Paid Lo-ve PHP300 for the lovely accessories I ordered. These are my second favorite. The first is of course, my jade bracelet given by my darling hubby.

Tuesday: Passed by an ukay-ukay in Cubao on way home. It started raining hard so instead of letting the rain ruin my night, I passed by these series of ukay-ukay in Cubao. I got three nice blouses only for a hundred bucks.

Wednesday: I was thorn between going to the office or not because it started raining hard just before I left for work. Good thing I was hard-headed and took the bus instead of a cab. Nix called me to say that Libis is flooded and we might get stranded. She also told me that we can apply for emergency leave. With that, I went down in Quezon Avenue, crossed the street and took another bus going home. It wasn’t raining that time until I reached home, even in the afternoon. After lunch, I went out because I had to pay my hubby’s Citibank card. After that I passed by Circle C hoping to finally get myself a leggings. I finished with three tops and a leggings. Another PHP320 stashed off our savings.

Thursday: I’m declaring that I’m officially broke because I’ve overspent. However, there’s just some things that I had to buy like soap, shampoo, liners and deodorant. That’s another PHP345!

Oh well… So what?! I’m happy with the things that I bought! 🙂

My hubby is sick

We were in Las Pinas last weekend for Ayex’s anti-measles vaccination. After that, we went home to my Mom’s place. At 3:30PM, Mon and I left Ayex with my siblings to have our monthly trip to the spa. After that, I checked the ukay-ukay near to the spa because I saw that they’re on sale. Mon stayed a while inside the store and went outside after finding nothing for himself while I was busy checking the racks of clothes one by one. I got myself a top and a skirt.

Sunday – We heard the mass at 10:30. My sisters had their usual kwek-kwek and sago after the mass then we went home. We ate nilaga and tokwa’t baboy for lunch. Mon went up at 2PM to take a nap. He told me to wake him up at 4PM and we’ll leave at 4:30PM. While he slept, I had my toenails cleaned and took care of Ayex until she slept. Mon went down a little before 4PM. He started fixing himself and our things. We left when Ayex woke up, that was before 4:30PM.

We went to Market-Market in Fort Bonifacio to buy Ayex’s baby wipes. They have these tiangges that sells super cheap baby wipes. We don’t memorize where we bought before so we passed by different stores first. Yeah, windows shopping. When we finally have Ayex’s stuffs, we went to Kenny Rogers to buy food then we left Market-Market.

When we were changing clothes, Mon noticed some red spots in his body. I was kidding him that it was because he hasn’t taken a bath yet. After we ate dinner and he’s no longer tired, he took a shower. The red spots seemed to multiply. They’re on his face, arms and back. We thought of the food that we ate. He said maybe he was allergic with the oil that was used in the spa. We were determined to call the spa the next day.

Monday – Mon didn’t went to the office. I told him to see a dermatologist. He went to Capitol and the red spots were diagnosed to be German Measles. Since then, he stayed at the other bedroom. He does not go out except when using the toilet or brushing his teeth. I know Ayex knows that daddy’s just there at home but may wonder why is it that she doesn’t see him. It’s almost a week that we don’t sleep with each other. We talk behind the door or we text each other.

I miss Mon. Hope you get well soon bebe.

Sentiments of a working mom

I’ve been wanting to post this yesterday. However, I went on leave due to the heavy rain and I’m not sure if I still have a remaining ISP card at home. So here it is…

We just arrived from the office Tuesday evening. Ayex was drinking milk while Papa Bert and Mama Ledy oversee her. I went to the kitchen area to put my breast pump in the sterilizer. Riza, our helper is washing some dishes.

Me: Kamusta naman si Ayex, day?
Riza: Mabuti naman po. Gustong gusto po niya kumain kanina. Para po siyang sabik sa pagkain. Kinukuha pa nga po niya ung kutsara. Tatlo po kami nagpakain sa kanya. Si ate (Mama Ledy) naghawak sa kanya. Si mama mo (Mama Fe) nagpakain sa kanya kasi kinukuha niya ung kainan niya. Tapos gusto po niya subo ng subo. Nagagalit po siya kapag matagal magsubo.
Me: (happy but sad) Ah talaga! Bukas uli kakain siya.
Me: (at Ayex) Di na lang magtatrabaho si Mommy. Papakainin ka na lang. Hahaha!

This is just one of my regrets on being a working mom. Oh well, I don’t have so much choice right now. But given a chance, I’ll just put up an online/physical boutique so I can watch Ayex grow. She’s now 7-months old.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
