Commuter Sentiments: Fare Hikes

Intro. I work in Ortigas and live in Project 8. On my way home, I take the bus until Muñoz then take a jeepney. My fare from Ortigas to Muñoz is P18 via an air-conditioned bus.

I only went to work twice last week. Since Maxyn got hospitalized and was only discharged last Monday, March 28, I decided not to work the following day so I can get some rest. I only went to work on Wednesday and Thursday. I worked from home on Friday because of another visit to the hospital and ballet recital practice. While we were at the hospital, I saw on the news that there will be a bus fare hike for the first five kilometers ONLY. It will start on March 29. I felt relieved because I will not be affected.

I was right. Last Wednesday and Thursday, I still payed my usual P18 fare.

Thinking Aloud

I am on emo-mode today. I have been not feeling very ok this week and I am still looking for that something that will lift me up. Maxyn having fever since yesterday afternoon kind of adds salt to the injury.

I chatted with several friends this morning and I told them I wanted to hibernate. I feel like I need to know myself again. I am losing confidence and I do not know where I am good at. They corrected me and told me I know exactly what I want to do but I have to get the passion in it.

Now, what do I have to do to get that passion burning?

Sundae and chicken are some of my comfort foods but I still don’t feel comforted. Maybe another round of caramel sundae later.

I’ve been wanting to blog about several happenings in the local showbiz industry but my ideas always slip my mind. And today, I’m having a blogger’s block and don’t know what to post. I browsed my dashboard and remembered I want to rant about some celebrities. Hahaha!

Christine Reyes’ Angry Tweets

I like her. I find her sexy. I love Sarah G and I’m a fan. I like Christine but I’m not a fan. I’ve watched the issue when it all started and I can’t believe they’re fighting about it. At least Christine is mad about it. In my opinion, there are lots of decent ways to confront an issue. There are some things that should not be known to the whole world and best tackled face to face. It’s Christmas time so I hope they get to fix their issue soon.

I think it’s light pornography. Do you really want your guests to see that kind of video, specially your parents? Again, not because you’re a celebrity, everyone in the whole wide world should know everything about you. Don’t you want to keep some things privately between you and your husband-to-be?

ABS-CBN Versus Willie Revillame

When will this end? I’m so sick and tired of this issue. I know ABS-CBN is losing on the ratings and TV5 is gaining because of Willie’s show. And if you have higher ratings, the more advertisers you get, which is equal to more money. I get it why ABS-CBN is fighting. I also get the man’s point, all he wants is to have a show that people enjoy, that according to him gives hope to poor people. Sometimes I think otherwise. Sometimes I think that the only reason people watch Willie’s show is because of the money. If you think about it more, it can be a form of bribery. You watch a show to have money in return. Ok, I’m losing my point here. What I just want to say is that, Willie, you are rich. Just pay ABS-CBN what they deserve because you violated a contract. ABS-CBN, if you truly want to make people happy, stop trying to shut down Willie’s show. If you’re losing the ratings, then make better programs for everyone so we can all have a choice. Oh, and Willie, can you please appealing in your show to your viewers as if you are kawawa. It is very unprofessional.
