How did we end up at Puerto del Sol?

After almost a month, here I am now, finding the time to blog about our instant trip to Pangasinan where we explored Bolinao and Alaminos.

So how did it all happen?

It was the morning of Ayex’s pre-nursery graduation. My sister-in-law who will be going back to the US in two weeks time still haven’t had a decent relaxation after two weeks of being here in Manila. I am affected for her and I want her to have a vacation because that’s why she came home after almost 3 years of being away.

Rewind. Sunday of that week, we saw CWC and Caramoan Islands featured in Rated K. Sister-in-law said she want to go there. The next Monday morning, I was inquiring about packages with travel dates on March 19-21. With less than a week of planning, our chances was very little. Wednesday, I got an email saying the Caramoan package is already full.

A few months back, hubby showed me Puerto del Sol. My initial reaction was it’s a bit pricey. Since we cannot go to Caramoan anymore, we are in a lookout for possible summer destination once again. I think hubby really likes this resort as by Wednesday evening hubby told Ate about it. It was late night and we just came home from work via commute. We didn’t find time to show her the web site any more.

Thursday morning, we showed Ate the web site and finally a decision was made. We are going to Puerto del Sol in Bolinao, Pangasinan. We booked for our accommodations through phone. Ms. Evelyn of Puerto del Sol is very accommodating. By 11am, we left the house. We went to BDO where we deposited the full payment of our 3 days and 2 nights stay at the resort. My poor memory forgot to take note of the total amount we should pay for so to avoid discussions with hubby (because I know I’m at fault), we just deposited PhP20000. Thanks to Ms. Lovely of BDO, West Avenue for helping us fax our deposit slip to Puerto del Sol’s office in Mandaluyong. After the bank errand, we’re off to Ayex’s graduation.

During the graduation rites, we’re still not done with booking because we have not confirmed if Ms. Evelyn already received our deposit slip. Around 4pm, we have confirmed our reservation. The graduation lasted until 7pm in the evening. By the time we came home, we are already full since the rites offered early dinner for the guests. At home, we announced that we are going to the Pangasinan the next day. The next thing we know, everyone’s busy preparing stuff for the trip. Hubby, Ayex and I still went to the nearby Hypermarket to buy some grocery. My little one is very excited as she saw me prepare her swimming stuff. By 11pm, we’re all prepared for bed.

I could not sleep very well, probably because I am excited as well and I am very pleased that we were able to pull off a vacation in an instant. My father-in-law is a bit anxious about my condition since I’m already at my 7th month of pregnancy. I’m pretty confident though that I will be fine.

Ayex’s Graduation Loot

This is the part 3 of Ayex’s pre-nursery graduation experience. Sorry for the delay. Chyng, after this, I will be posting the Bolinao trip, promise.

When Ayex and the other students marched, they were handed a brown envelope. It contained flyers where parents can get information about the next school year plus some pictures: the toga and class picture (for those who availed). The above photo is my daughter’s first picture in toga. I’m glad that she cooperated with everybody when this pictures were taken.

This is Ayex’s copy of their class picture. These are the people in the above photo starting from the top row, left to right:

  • Teacher Lalaine – Ayex’s teacher
  • Sir Ferdy – school director
  • Teacher Marlyn – school directress
  • Teacher Jade – Ayex’s teacher
  • Clarence – I think he is the eldest in the class
  • Lorenzo – the kid who always gives Ayex food
  • Ayex – the quiet little girl who became makulit and super playful at the end because of her kuyas
  • Lucas – the youngest in the class being a few months younger than Ayex
  • Frenchie – the little independent girl who still thumb sucks at 4yo

These are the symbols of the awards she received. The blue one is for Most Neat. She received it along with her first ever diploma, which by the way has an incorrect spelling of her name. I should call the school soon for it to be corrected. The red ribbon is for Best in Science. It came as a surprise but I noticed that this little girl is really interested in Science.

The photos above show my daughter’s diploma, outside and inside view. I have a pre-nursery graduate! The question now is, should I enroll her to a nursery class already?

Photos taken using hubby’s Canon 500D.

Ayex’s Graduation Experience – Part 1

I know this is a delayed post but please bear with me as we just got back from an instant getaway to Pangsinan. I didn’t realized how beautiful that province is given that it is where I spent most of my summer vacations when I was young. Sorry for digressing, I shall blog about that trip after this one.

Ayex’s graduation was very very very long. It tired not only the parents and guardians but most of all, the kids – both graduating and not. There was a point when everyone is already hungry but the the food cannot be served yet because the rites is not yet done. The whole program seemed to be a bit disorganized as well or maybe because they mixed the graduation and recognition rites in one event.

If there’s any thing I enjoyed as a parent, that would be the privilege of accepting your child’s first diploma and first school awards. Ayex was awarded Most Neat and Best in Science.

Today has been a busy day for me. I have to leave the office now I can make it home earlier. I hope you understand. Please come back tomorrow to read the details of the Ayex’s first graduation event.

Have a great night ahead everyone!

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions.
