A Different Puzzle

My eldest daughter is very into puzzles. She has about ten puzzles I think, with varying number of pieces. There was a time when all she likes to play with are her puzzles. Then she will invite us to play with her. The person who completes the puzzle first wins. Can you guess who wins all the time? Yeah, it is Alex! And no, we do not slow down just to make her win. She really wins in a clean game. Smart kid! I just hope that in due time, she will learn how to properly keep the puzzles away when she is done with them.

I found a different kind of puzzle online, the money maze. Maybe I should get her one and make her solve the puzzle to get another gift inside.

Tomorrow is the BIG Day!

It is already 11:40 PM here where I live. I just finished baking 24 choco-banana cupcakes for my mom’s birthday celebration tomorrow, packed our things for that overnight event, packed the props and other materials we will use for the Family Day celebration at Alex’s school, configure Ginger again, ready the camera, and responded to important emails.

I still have 70 cocktail hotdogs to cook and put on sticks with marshmallows later.

I am so tired right now and I feel so stressed. I shall hit the bed for now and will update you probably on Monday on how our dance presentation went.

Enjoy your weekend, ladies and gents!

Mommy Bloggers Hot Ideas #2

This post has been sitting in my drafts for weeks now. Bad, bad, bad. And mind you, this is a very important post for I will be sharing with you what other mommy bloggers, like me, shared with their readers.

A few weeks ago, I posted something about Preventing Dengue Fever. I listed several tips, which you can also follow to prevent those pesky mosquitoes from multiplying in your home. And as if Mommy Pehpot was reading my mind. She wrote about rainy days checklist. Her checklist includes things you can use to prevent our children from getting sick this rainy season and even things you should prepare so you are ready when calamities strike. Check it out, you might find something that is not in your list yet.

Mommy Levy and Mommy Jem looked like they talk about what they shared with their readers, but actually, they did not. None of us talked about what we will write. And yet, their posts are related. Brilliant right? Mommy Levy shared with us her homeschooling lesson plan. I definitely agree with her that one of the pros of homeschooling is that you can customize the lessons you will teach your children, according to their strengths and weaknesses. The way she taught reading, language and writing to her son is very interesting. I, myself, found helpful tips on how I will go about homeschooling when it is already time for Maxyn. Whether you are planning to home-school your kids or not, check out her post and you might pick a tip or two. And then, Mommy Jem shared with us how we can make study time fun and not boring. Our little ones, just like us adults, are all different and unique. This is also true for study habits. Some will work for others and some will not. But if we make studying fun, things will be a lot easier for us and for our kids. Check out her post and see which ones you think can apply to your child.

With all the roles we, moms, have to attend to, there will really be times when we feel like losing our sanity. Mommy Sammy reminded us that there are ways not to become insane. My favorite is forgive yourself. There are just times when I become too hard on myself that I end up wasting energy on things that should not matter much. Are you losing your sanity often lately? Check out her post and remind yourself how you will keep your sanity intact.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
