Kwentong Kakanin

Well, we had our share of bouts with picky eating pero yung mapakain namin sila ng “street foods”, super proud ako dun.

Few months ago, I started looking for kakanin seller online. I browsed all the groups I am a member of for kutchinta kasi sabi ni eldest, miss na daw niya.

I was so happy for the kids!

Pag-uwi, kailangan kong maligo sa labas, which has been our practice since the pandemic started (bawal pumasok sa loob ng bahay ng galing sa madaming tao). Sabi pa niya, “You know, we were just talking about the things we missed eating with my friends and there it is!”. I was so proud of myself that moment! Hahaha!

Kayo, anong little proud moments niyo recently?

M and Her First Sight Words

I am sooooo ecstatic! M, our youngest, just read her first set of sight words!!!! I am so giddy that even as I type this post, I can hear her read HE – SHE – IT, even when she is not anymore.

If you happen to read my previous posts, I mentioned that M just started schooling this year. Compared to her other classmates who attended nursery last year, this is M’s first encounter with most of her lessons. She was able to adjust to the lessons for the first quarter and now, she is adjusting again because the teachers introduced a new way of doing things at school.

You will also remember that among all M’s subjects, Reading is the hardest to teach. I did not have proper teaching education and so I always consult with her teachers on how they teach their lesson at school so that I may apply the same technique when tutoring M at home to avoid confusion. Otherwise, teaching M will cause me a headache big time or we will end up fighting.

And so I am so happy that she was able to read HE-SHE-IT all by herself today! These are actually words, right? I was suppose to guide her answer the reviewer I made for their quiz but she was able to answer the worksheet all by herself!!! I am just a proud mom right now, pardon me. Below is a screenshot of the work sheet I made.

She was working on her worksheet beside me and I clearly heard her say each work as she said them.

Congratulations, baby!!!! Keep it up!

Two Days to Go!

After a year, my sister is finally coming home! The girls are uber excited to see her! Of course, we, the sisters, are very thrilled too that we are seeing her and will be spending lots of togetherness! Nevermind that it is still exam week next week and that I have not started the reviewers because the pointers are not yet in. Homecoming is a celebration and everything else can definitely wait.
