Help a Child Become an “e.Studyante” With P&G Promo Packs

I am all for promoting good education. In fact, that is the reason why despite having no more permanent job, I continue my donations with Unicef Philippines because I know every donation will help a child continue with his/her studies. Even me, I worked hard as I study so I can help my mom send me to school. And thus, when I learned that our community is brewing up something that concerns education, I gave my all out support for it. Yes, you read that right. Pinay Mommies Community supports the P&G e.Studyante Program

e.studyante

Here is the official press release.

School children in the Philippines face many challenges; sometimes, even the simple walk to school in the morning can be an arduous journey. Students cross rivers, traverse mountain peaks, even go through battlegrounds just to go to school. And when they arrive, they are faced with meager resources – overcrowded classrooms, the lack of books and school supplies – which all make for an uninspiring learning environment.

That is why starting on its 76th year, Procter and Gamble (P&G) Philippines is setting out to make these students’ journey more worthwhile. Taking its commitment to education to the next level, P&G will provide technology and connectivity to Filipino students nationwide with its e.Studyante program.

Along with partner Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and Synergeia Foundation, the e.Studyante program will provide kids from selected schools with an XO Laptop from the One Laptop per Child (OLPC) Association. The XO laptop is a rugged, low-power, connected laptop especially designed to make learning more engaging and more fun for students.

Students can use their laptops not just to learn but to share and connect with each other, with their communities and with the world – helping them all become an “e.Studyante.”

Let’s Go SPArty!!!

Sparty When I was younger, the party I know always involve music and booze. We work hard and so we party harder. I still kind of miss that. It has been a while you know. I am actually thinking of going to one with my sisters. Now that all of us are of age, we should really do for the experience, right?

But there is another party that I want to try. This time with my mommy friends. With all the hard work that we do for our spouses and kids, we deserve to be pampered to the max. And the best way to celebrate our day-off would be in a SPArty!!! For a day, we can truly feel being queens. Goodbye backache, hello gorgeous feet and fingers! It is a great time to talk about the latest buzz out there and share our thoughts. For once, we can forget our domestic duties. :p

You do not need to be a mom to join the fun. Just head on to the event and SPArty with us!

Are Going for A Wet Christmas?

I have been observing for days now and I believe I need not be a scientist to see that we might have a rainy Christmas this year. It has been raining the past days, mostly in the afternoon. And when it rains, it was like there is no more tomorrow! In fact, as I write this, it is raining here! Is it raining where you are now? Do not get wet or you might be sick for the holidays! You do not want to miss all the fun. All the delicious food will surely taste bitter when you are sick. Trust me, it happened to me last week and it sucks big time!

This rain brings in a colder weather though and we love it. It saves us from using the air conditioner and sometimes, even the electric fans. In fact, I cannot sleep without a blanket anymore because I would be awaken by chills on my feet! The little girls, they seem to be born somewhere cold. They do not mind at all! Both of them refuse to wear socks. If I was able to sneak it on their toes when they are asleep, they will remove it when they wake up in the middle of the night! I on the other hand enjoys the warmth it brings to my feet. Ugh, is that a sign of aging?

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
