Back from the Christmas Ball

Pink Toes had their annual Christmas Ball today at the Irwin Theater in Ateneo. It is actually the Christmas recital of their music and ballet students. Ayex did not join this time because it was already September when she started attending classes again.

The show was great! We were able to catch some more music students play their pieces on stage. They played mostly Christmas carols and now, I am starting to feel the holiday cheers! Which makes me realize again that the christmas gift ideas I have are still ideas. I have to take action now or everything may not happen in time and I will be left cramming.

The ballerinas were as awesome and gorgeous! I love the new costumes! The new ballerinas did great and all danced their way on the stage. The older ballerinas showed what they have learned. They are more graceful now and acts as big sisters to the new ones. I just wished they organized the formation of the ballerinas from Congressional branch better that a straight line. I am sure they can do it and children will follow. Maybe in the grand recital.

Hello Christmas breeze! I just hope it stops raining soon. I do not want wet holidays!

Missing the Skyscrapers

It has been six months since I quit my day job to take care of my children myself. This is the time of the year I am thankful that I am simply at home and is not compelled to commute. Yes, the traffic outside gets crazy each day, as Christmas nears. But I have to say, I miss seeing the skyscrapers this time of the year too. The metal buildings in the area where I work and those that I pass by decorate themselves in a happy and homey Christmas spirit. You can truly feel that it is about Christmas. Then a pang of panic will hit you because you have not done a single trip to the mall to buy presents because work has been keeping you overtime.

And it feels great to be simply at home…

Collection

When I was young, I used to have a stationery collection. It started with my close friends giving me some of their then I started allotting some of my daily allowance for it. Every weekend or whenever we go to the mall, I would bring with me my money and drop by the bookstore before heading home to buy new stationery. Then back at school, I would trade with my friends so my collection will grow. I also used them to write letters to my friends. Yes, I do that even when we see each other everyday! LOL.

I cannot remember why I stopped. But currently, I do not have any collection. I am thinking of starting a post card collection or maybe, I could collect old coins. I heard the coins increase their value as they become older, how true?

Do you collect something? Share with me.
