The Power of Prayer

Every time that I am about to lose my sanity, I say a little prayer and voila, my senses come back to me.

It was like riding a runaway roller-coaster the past weeks. My hormones were not very cooperative with the circumstances we were in. There were times when I snap easily and when I finally realize what happened, I feel really terrible.

And so I kind of made it a habit. When I am about to get fuzzy, when I am near to bursting, I say a little prayer. I ask for guidance and patience. I ask for good angels to drive away the bad ones. And thankfully, it works all the time.

Thank you, God, for riding the tide with me.

On Ledet’s Elimination

I did not see the performances last week, thanks to Alex, who kept the remote control under her pillows. I saw the announcements though (on television and on Facebook), on who got eliminated. And yes, until now, I cannot move on, I cannot accept that Joshua got voted out.

Before the performances that week when Hollie got eliminated, I wanted Philip to go. But I was impressed with his rendition of Volcano and the other song he performed. I knew Hollie will be voted out. Then last week, many said Joshua did not perform very well. I was really hoping the it will be him and Jessica in the finals. Nevertheless, I know, he will have a good singing career.

Now, Jessica has to choose her songs carefully and so does Philip. I just pray that America will vote wisely, and not just go for the looks or the nationality (as Jessica is not pure American). If Philip wins, he will be another guitar-playing guy. If Jessica wins, I think she will be a great RnB singer. May the force be with her.

For now, I must move on from Joshua’s elimination. He had great performances but too bad, last week was not one of them. Maybe I will just browse Jo Dee Messina photos and immerse myself with some country music to forget that he is out of the AI competition.

Happy Mother’s Day!

This year’s Mother’s Day didn’t go well as planned. The kids have been feeling under the weather and we didn’t have the chance to do our usual family moments for the event.

I usually look forward to Mother’s day because it is a day in the year that I also embrace my new role in life. I would have wanted a custom t-shirt for the whole family (as a gift for myself) for the occasion but since that plan didn’t push through, might as well plan another design for Father’s Day. I just love it when we’re all dressed the same on a special occasion.

For other mothers, how did you spend Mother’s day? For husbands and brothers, how did you make your wife or mother feel special on Mother’s Day?

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
