The Record Breaker Experience

As I have posted before, we bought 4 Patron tickets to Sarah Geronimo’s Record Breaker concert. I’m so glad I did, all the stress (I will explain later) and the waiting was all worth it.

Why stress? Saturday was a pretty busy day in our household. My mom was already there when I arrived Friday night. Saturday morning, we brought Ayex to the pedia for her following up check-up (she had been coughing for two weeks now – allergy). In the afternoon, just after we had lunch, we went to the grocery. Pretty busy, huh?

Our original plan was to leave our place in QC at 5PM because we’ll take care of some business related errand in Cubao. My mom also said that it’s our chance to have our rare bonding time – girls night-out. Unfortunately, I had to put Ayex to sleep because she’s been awake the whole day and it was 4:30PM. We were able to left the house at 6PM. The stress should have stopped there because we’ll take the MRT. From our place, the whole travel should be just an hour. But lo and behold, it took us an hour or so in the MRT ride for just 4 stations! plasterers forum It was crazy and super stressing! My sister who will come from the other end station was also super stressed because their train has no air conditioning! Booooo, MRT!

Anyway, we were buzzer beaters. We were inside Araneta a few minutes before 8PM, the printed start of the concert. We were able to grab some food and drinks before we went inside and find our seat. I was pretty impressed with myself because the seats I got really belong to the nice spot. Talk about a clear view of everything. plasterers forum When we were already seated, we all began to relax and wait for the show to start, which happened around 9PM, I think.

Sarah is great and so is everyone else who made the concert possible. building Contractors forum She sang a medley which lasted for about eleven minutes and that was not yet her last song. The surprised guests include Christian Bautista, Charlie Green and The Kanto Boys minus JLC. Toni was so kilig seeing Vhong Navarro on stage. It was definitely worth the money and the time.

Now, let me share with you one of the many videos I took. Pardon the text at the top as I used a trial software to merge two videos of the same song. I’m sharing this one because this is my current favorite song.

PhotoHunt #7: Bags

This week’s PhotoHunt theme is Bags. It should not be too hard for me because I have a few but none of them suits my taste today.

So here, I’m sharing you something that Mother Earth will be proud of. Forum Smileys

Recycled BagThe bag my little girl is carrying here is a recycled one. It is made from empty juice tetra packs. It is hand-woven by Ate Dilen, Mon’s cousin. When we go to Lusiana, Laguna, they never fail to send us some of their woven bags, which we really appreciate. It make us use less plastic. And oh, did you know that in Lusiana, everyone is encouraged to use these woven stuff? They have a law that penalizes anyone who is caught using a plastic bag. Isn’t that thoughtful for Mother Earth?

How about you, how are contributing to saving our one and only Earth? Share your tips in the comments box. After that, be sure to check the other entries.

Forever In Blue Jeans

I didn’t have a new photo last week and I didn’t want to post something from my archives.

Anyways, I’m making it up this week as I have two new photos this time. Hooray!

MoMo CafeThis photo was taken last Monday, October 19. Hubby is on leave this whole week but he still drove me to the office. That’s because he’s also heading to San Juan (I think), for some business matters. I’m happy things turned good for us on that one. After his activity, he called me and asked me if I was busy. Of course I am – not. Laughing Smileys

We met at the lobby of our building and head to MOMO Cafe at Eastwood Mall where we had a very huge lunch. Lunch dates are fun! The last time we had one was back in May of last year. We haven’t been going on a date lately because we’re saving up for something.

MOMO offers really good food in big servings at reasonable prices. But if I have lots of time, I’d always choose home-cooked meals by me. Fighting Smileys

The Old Spaghetti House

L-R: me, Liana and Beng

The picture above was taken at The Old Spaghetti House, where we had my birthday lunch treat yesterday. Good food plus good company is really happiness. With us, but not in the picture are: Therese, Neil, Mark, Isaac and Dianne. It was quite an adventure going to the place because we thought we can walk from the office building to there. However, after seeing how far it is, not to mention the heat, all the girls plus Isaac decided to get the jeepney and just cross C5 extension, which is another adventure for most of us. I, on the other hand is so used to it as I like crossing streets and commuting!

Thanks to Carin for challenging all moms out there to be in a picture each week because we’re always behind the camera! I’m starting to find my best angle again after a while.
