Random realization

I was pretty busy lately with stuffs I’m not sure what they are. So here I am now updating this blog with the random things I thought of for the past weeks.

I realized that I totally miss visiting ukay-ukay. This is something I used to do before going home back then. Whenever I feel exhausted from schoolwork or officework, I would pass by these stores in Alabang. Not necessarily that I would buy something, more often than not, I just go there to check what they have. 🙂 I miss the great finds.

~~~
After my hubby bought me some stuffs last weekend, I came to realize that shopping is really something that uplifts me. This makes me think of business. I want to put up an online store with friends as business partners. This way, I would be able to shop a lot and earn from it. Does that make sense?
~~~
It’s only a month away for our first year wedding anniversary. Hoooray!!!!! It’s so fast how time flies.

~~~
I already created my account in Multiply. This allows to me to easily ask questions from sellers in Multiply. I love shopping!!!!
~~~
I miss playing volleyball and badminton as well as participating in co-curricular activities in the office. If it’s not a year ago, it’s probably almost a year ago. Again, how fast time flies!

Morning Thinking

We are back in Las Pinas. I think we’re going to stay there for two weeks. It has been a while you know. The last time I saw my family was in June 23 when Ayex had her usual check up and vaccination.

The agreement was, we will stay in each place for a month. We went back to QC last June 4 in time for the opening of classes. That means we should have been back to Las Pinas since July 4. I told my husband that it is fine with me if we stay a bit longer in QC since my sister-in-law is leaving for US in August. I want her to enjoy Ayex as much as she can because they will not be seeing each other for a long time.

Las Pinas is very far from where we both work. I understand that and I am prepared to commute despite the fact that rainy season had started. However, he decided to bring the car this morning. And all these started when we got stuck in the long traffic in Coastal Road.

We took Coastal Road because we thought the traffic is not heavy according to my brother. When hubby saw a queue of cars piling near the toll gate, he frowned. We did not like it at all. Much more when we saw lots of red lights after we paid the toll. Then, he said something like “Mommy, malayo talaga tayo pag dito eh. Di rin maganda kung laging late, lalo na ngayon magiging project manager ka na.” I just said “Ano gusto mo balik na tayo ng QC?” I did not say anything after that. I kept quiet with different things running in my mind.

  • If we are to stay in QC (no more going home to LP every other month), then it would not be fair to my family. They would have to travel from LP to QC if they would want to see Ayex. My mom did that before and I did not liked it.
  • If we really want to stop staying from one place to another, why not just have a place of our own? If we want to visit our families, we can do that on weekends.
  • It is not a question of “Can they take care of Ayex?”. It is more of to give both families a chance to spend ample time with Ayex. It hurt me when Ayex cried yesterday upon arriving in LP for no reason at all. Maybe because she cannot recognize her Tita Gabby and Tita Tonette.

**There is really so much more. I just do not want to think about them anymore. But you know, this is becoming a problem. Why not share with me your thoughts so we can finally resolve this. Come to think of it, don’t you see that I am trying to be a good wife and in-law here. 🙁

Before Summer Officially Ends

Finally, our team had our first ever summer outing together last May 27-29. As far as I remember, the last team activity that we held out of town was back in 2004. Connie was still here then.

Our team outing was in Antulang, Dumaguete. All of us joined except Sel, who went to Palawan for their honeymoon.

I’m so lazy to describe the whole place so I’ll try my best to comment on the things which we failed to capture with our cameras. 😉

  1. Their food is so-so. The most that I enjoyed was their breakfast meals.
  2. Their service is overly slow! When we realized this, we learned our lesson. What we did was, if we’re having dinner at 7pm, we go the restaurant and order at 6pm then we leave and wander around. So when we get back, we’re sure that our food was ready.
  3. They scrimped us on ice. During one of our dinners, we told the waiter to just leave us a bucket of ice so that we don’t have to call them anymore. His reply was something like “Pwede po pero kelangan po kayo magdagdag ng 20 pesos per bucket”. Our reaction was “What?!”.

So much for that. Here are the pictures instead.

This is my first time to ride an airplane. Woot woot!!! Thanks for capturing this. 🙂

Jeng, Shindz and me. I’m trying to get the feel of it.

Hello from Dumaguete airport!

We were supposed to be picked up by a coaster but it left early. We thought that the driver wasn’t informed properly so we had to wait and take pictures! Hahaha!

When we arrived in Antulang, we were greeted with a “lace”. What’s with the cooler? It contains my breast pump. I will be expressing my milk while I am away from Ayex and bring it home.

We had brunch in their restaurant because we arrived at 11AM. After that, we were supposed to settle to our rooms but the only room that was ready was our Boss’ room.

This is our Boss’ room. Sooooo fit for him!

We had a three-hour long meeting, which we tried to enjoy despite the heat and the call of the pool.

Finally, we were able to settle to our own room after the exhausting meeting! Our room wasn’t big but that’s OK. I was joined by Shindz and Therese.

We went sightseeing after we fixed our things in our room and dressed up for some swimming!

Their beach is not very nice but I’d say, their infinity pool is really great!

The next day, we rode a yacht to APO Island for more swimming and snorkeling! First yacht ride and snorkeling. That island is divine!!! Its marine life is awesome and a true feast for the eyes! There was a school of huge fishes swimming around me and for a while, I thought they will bite me! I super duper enjoyed my first snorkeling adventure.

We had a day tour of the city before we went back to Manila on our third day. Of course we went to the pasalubong shops too! We brought home Dumaguete’s famous silvanas.
