Motorcycle Safety Campaign

Our government launched a sort for motorcycle safety campaign recently. I guess they are now concerned that our local news for the day does not end without reporting a vehicular accident that involves a motorcycle. I personally get irritated to motorcycle drivers who drive as if they own the whole road to themselves. Or to those who leave their homes late but do not want to be caught up in traffic so they end of racing in the streets that are supposedly for pedestrian! Oh, another pet peeve when it comes to motorcycle drivers is that instead of using their helmet, they use them as display on the motorcycle handles or even on their arms! I mean those are made to protect their heads right?

I am so hoping that this motorcycle lane wherein the government assigned a lane specific for motorcycle riders only will be a success. I really hope aside from less accidents, this move will instill discipline to motorcycle drivers.

On The Arroyo Hullabaloo

I have not been watching the news recently. When it is already airing, I would transfer the channel to Disney Junior and let Ayex watch cartoons. It helps me feed her dinner smoothly and saves me from hearing lots of negative stuff happening in this country.

That was why, when I read a friend’s tweet about the happening in NAIA, I thought she was referring to a personal experience. I felt stupid after reading the news online. x(

Being a human, I feel that somewhere, she should be allowed to be treated for her medical condition. If claims are true that she can be treated right here, then I think she should not be allowed to travel elsewhere. Going outside the country, specially to countries where Philippines does not have any existing extradition treaties could be a sign of fleeing.

Ang sa akin lang, time to fear death and start changing ways.

For the government, I pray that they file the cases ASAP to stop this drama.

Help for Typhoon Pedring Victims

People in Bulacan and other provinces in the North have not yet recovered from the wrath of typhoon Pedring. Many places are till submerged in flood. Some of these have really high water and are too far that makes it almost impossible for help to come their way. And this is where I salute all those who participate in rescue operations for putting their own lives at stake to help others.

As per the news, relief goods are constantly coming in and are packed accordingly for distribution to affected residents. I am really hoping that many donate clothing too to keep the people warm. I on the other hand can only offer my prayers for the safety of everyone.

Dear God, please help your people. Amen.
