Beng’s bad day

… or should I say month like she said. I feel sad.

This day started with a pretty long meeting (for the rest of them excluding Sel and me). After that meeting I was able to meet my biz partner’s helper for my Charles and Keith items (ordered by Ms. Mynne). When I came back, I remembered that I need to check ULY’s photos (I’ll blog about this in another entry) from the digicam’s MMC. While checking the pictures, I saw this really hilarious photo that made me kind of stomped my fists at my desk, which caused my machine to suddenly reboot. To my horror, it wouldn’t boot anymore (read: BSOD). I’m lucky enough to have the IT person recover my OS without having the need to reinstall anything.

Okay, I digress. So while the IT guy fixed my machine, Beng, Raimon, Shindie and I went to lunch. When we came back at 1:30pm, Beng remembered her phone. It’s gone. I tried to ring it earlier and it still rang. When we tried again, it’s already cannot be reached! Some a**hole took her phone! Gawd! In all places, Bengerts lost her phone here at the office. To think it’s not my way to secure my stuffs every now and then, I just leave my phone and wallet in my bag at the top of my desk. Really sad. Her phone is almost new.

Celebrating 110 years of independence

Today, we are celebrating 110 years of independence from being a Spaniards’ colony. Congrats to my fellow Filipinos! How come it seems that this day is so ordinary?

For one, I think because it’s not a holiday, unlike the previous years. Next, do you really feel the independence?

I know, I have lots of time because this work of mine don’t seem to fit me right, so here I am again, ready to rant! Hahahaha! Kidding aside. It’s just that there are times that I still feel that we are slaves, by whom or by what, I don’t really know. Perhaps we are slaves of poverty and corrupt government officials.

I, myself, is a slave of my lack of guts to pursue what I really want to do in this so-called career. (I’ll blog about that in a separate entry). Maybe because I’m not really sure what I want. Let me try to justify this post by defining what slave is.

From google:

  • a person who is owned by someone
  • someone who works as hard as a slave
  • work very hard, like a slave
  • someone entirely dominated by some influence or person; “a slave to fashion”; “a slave to cocaine”; “his mother was his abject slave”

From the definitions above, I think I’m partially right. What do you think?

On Quinito Henson and Chino Trinidad

Last Satuday on our way home from the mall, my dad and my brother were talking about how talkative the Filipino anchors who were covering the NBA finals namely: Quinito Henson and Chino Trinidad. They said that these two were so talkative during the game 1 of the series that they somewhat narrated the whole game! I commented that I agree with them about Quinito because as far as I’m concerned, he’s just so talkative for a guy. However, I disagreed with them about Chino because I think he is not as talkative as Quinito. I was wrong!

I was able to watch the second game of the best of seven finals series and I must say, the entire was just too lame that it made me so bored! The referees’ calls were either inappropriate or delayed. The players of LA Lakers seemed to be not in the proper condition specially Kobe Bryant. And to top it all, Quinito and Chino were so noisy at the background! Their comments on the game are never ending! That’s not all, they even said things on air that to me are very improper like things about Chino’s wife’s birthday that he wasn’t able to attend because he covering the series and a mention of his Americanas’ (American style coat) sponsors! Yuck! Publicity! The worst comment I heard from these two came from I think Quinito (please correct me if I’m wrong). He joked about Leon Powe and something about the Poe clan (yes, the late Fernando Poe’s family)! Such a corny joke that even Chino Trinidad wasn’t able to get! Ugggghh!

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
