Tofu and Kangkong in Oyster Sauce

This viand is one of our home staple. Bakit hindi eh ang mura ng ulam na ito and can feed a whole family, not to mention nutritious!

Ingredients

  • tofu
  • kangkong
  • onion
  • garlic
  • oyster sauce
  • water
  • oil

Procedure

  1. Cut your tofu according to your preferred serving size, fry and set aside.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic. Once fragrant, add your kangkong leaves and stems. Make sure you rinsed your kangkong well.
  3. Cover to cook the kangkong, about 5 minutes.
  4. When your kangkong stem is already tender, add oyster sauce. Gaano karami, trust your tastebuds. Add water if you want it saucy.
  5. Season with pepper and salt if needed.
  6. Add your fried tofu and mix.
  7. Transfer to a serving dish and top with fried garlic bits.

Ulam namin ito usually after ng palengke day. Ang mura kasi sa palengke ng kangkong, imagine isang malaking bungkos for 50-60 pesos. Then tofu is usually 3 for 10 pesos ata or 20 pesos. Basta this viand is always less than 100 pesos and can feed a family of 6 in our case.

Have you tried this dish? Bet ba ng family mo?

Small Talk with Big Bosses

The journey to the “top” is not a straight path—and there’s no one way to get there. This is something most successful men and women today know all too well.

For most people, whether they’re just starting a career or they’re well on their way, being at the top of their game seems like a distant destination after a long and winding road. While on this journey, many will tend to wonder if they’re on the right track. Some lose sight of where they truly want to head altogether. In some cases, there will be those who will find a completely different meaning for “success.” Regardless, one thing is for sure, there’s not a single method to achieve success, whatever one’s definition of it may be.

Review: 3W Clinic Intensive UV Sunblock Cream

So this nanay has been trying really hard in taking care of her skin. So I was applying sunblock in the morning at the least, because as they say, it is the first defense against anti-aging.

This is actually my second product to try for sunblock. My first was
Bioré, which I will discuss in another post. For now, let me focus with this product.

3w-clinic-intensive-uv-sunblock

I got this 3W Clinic Intensive UV Sunblock Cream from Beauty Mnl. It is priced at 280 pesos for a 70ml tube. I have been using this since August last year, that’s eight months and counting so far. It is very economical as the little amount from the tube can cover your whole face. I find that it is easy to apply and is quickly absorbed by my skin. It does not leave any white cast and is suitable as make-up base (as if naman lagi akong naka make-up). It hydrates my face well without making it oily at all! This sunblock provides protection against UVA and UVB rays with SPF50 PA+++.

Honestly, the reason why I bought this product in the first place was the price. I got free shipping from Beauty Mnl that time so the price point alone is a huge steal for me comparing from my first brand. I did not want to splurge moolah on a product tapos hindi ko gagamitin religiously because hello, tamaditis strikes! But like I said, I am trying really hard so yeah, this product was really put to use. I never leave home without applying this.

My verdict (wow feeling pro sa pagrereview, hahaha), this product is definitely worth your money. It is definitely not expensive. It comes in bigger tube (compared to previous brand). It is easy to use as it is quickly absorbed by the skin. The only downside for me is that, I do not see this in drugstores or malls. This is only available online.

For me, this is a good start for those who want to start using sunblock but are not willing to get the more known expensive brands. I will definitely get myself another tube once I fully consumed the one I am currently using.
