I Survived!

The first automated election in the Philippines, that is. Yes, the 35 week pregnant in me was out there yesterday to vote for my candidates. It was hot and the lines made me panic. Good thing I know there SHOULD be a priority lane for pregnant women, senior citizens and disabled. I went through unnecessary steps but was able to vote in thirty minutes or so. I pity the others in the other precincts/schools because their BEIs didn’t gave them priority, which made some just go home without casting their votes.

I am proud of my sisters and friends who are first time voters. Despite the grueling heat, chaotic process and other mishaps, they waited in their polling precincts until they were able to cast their votes. I AM PROUD OF YOU! YOU ARE NOW TRUE STAKEHOLDERS OF THIS COUNTRY.

Despite the chaotic process of voting, I am amazed at the tallying of results. They are fast and I like it. I also like the fact that people trust the election results we are now seeing, despite being partial. I am still hoping for some candidates to make it.

On the other hand, I would like to salute those candidates who have accepted defeat already.

May this be a start of a brand new beginning, something definitely brighter, far from the wicked promises of the current government.

SULONG PILIPINAS!

Cookie craving at its best

It’s almost the end of my 34th week and yet I’m still not done with my foodie cravings! Hahaha! Let me share with you my recent craving for various cookies.

Cream-O Deluxe

Cream-O Deluxe, one of my staple. Thanks to Janelle for introducing it to me.

Sumo cookies

Sumo mini cookie sandwich in Cookies+cream, another staple since I got pregnant.

Ritz Bits

I was actually craving for Ritz regular, not this one. The regular I am referring to looks like Fita but has a cheesy-salty filling. Unfortunately, I’ve been looking for it months ago and still haven’t found one. I settled for the minis version and it tastes the same. I hope to find Ritz regular soon.

Famous Amos

Famous Amos used to be a stable for me. I realized though that it is quite expensive specially when the time came when we had to cut cost on unnecessary groceries. I missed eating this cookie!

Fibisco Chocolate Chip Cookies

If you are a Philippine-resident, you probably recognize this. This is a repacked Fibisco chocolate chip cookies. I’ve been looking for this a few weeks ago since I know there used to be a seller of it in the area I pass by when going home. Last night was my lucky night when I finally spotted her.

When I was in a diet mode years ago, I used to eat only this cookie and milk the almost the whole day. Now I have to share it with hubby and Ayex.

Fibisco Choco Mallows

Again, you should know this if you are a Philippine resident. This is a repacked version of Fibisco Choco Mallows. It definitely costs way cheaper than the packed one, something that I really enjoy. I bought this last night as well together with the Chocolate Chip Cookies but I intended to give it to the little girl, not for me.

Finger Choco Sticks

Unfortunately, the little girl is not yet fond of Chocolate Mallows. So tonight (hopefully), I intend to buy her this repacked version of Jack n Jill Pretzels and another pack of Chocolate Chip Cookies, which we’ll bring tomorrow to Las Pinas.

How about you, do you like any of these goodies?

Bobbie Nail Products

Do you DIY (do it yourself) your nails? I USED to do so specially when I was still single. That time, I haven’t found someone who will be able to clean my nails exactly the same way I want to. Now, I have Ate Millete, our manicurist, who has been doing my nails since I got married.

However, there are times when I cannot go to Ate Millete, who is Las Pinas-based because I am really a Quezon City resident now. So when that happens, even now that I am preggy, I try to DIY my nails. Basic cleaning will do for now since most pregnant women, me included, stop using nail polish.

Below are some nail products I recently discovered and are currently loving. I hope you find them helpful too.

Bobbie Nail Products

Bobbie Cuticle Remover and Bobbie Cuticle Oil

Bobbie Nail Products
These products have nozzle for easy usage, which I love!

PS: Pardon the pictures, I’m so lazy to use the DSLR.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
