On Children Portraying Serious Adult Roles

Goin’ Bulilit is one of the staple TV shows that we watch on weekends. It is a gag show featuring children covering adult roles in various comedic situations. One episode really makes us laugh. Even Ayex finds it pretty interesting. Last night, their episode is quite different. Unlike the usual one that has full of jokes, last night’s was quite dramatic and evolved on a love story.

I think children portraying an adult role in a comedic manner is ok. Their sarcasm make us laugh and sometimes, we learn from them. But when these children act on serious adult roles like husband and wife complete with a wedding is kind of awkward for me. I mean, Nash is probably only 12-years-old to be a groom and his partner is too young to wear a wedding gown!

I may be over-reacting or being my conservative self but definitely, I do not want to watch Goin’ Bulilit episodes like last night’s. I want the good-old jokes kids perform. Besides, these kids are too young to portray real-life drama.

Celebrating Women’s Month with a Dove Giveaway

I love being a woman despite the numerous complications. I know you know what I mean. There are a lot of characteristics that makes us different from the other gender, both good and bad. One thing that I like about myself and being a woman generally is that when we decide to take care of things, we do our best. And most of the time, we succeed.

If you frequent my blog, you will know that one of the plans I made for this year involves my skin. I vowed that I will say goodbye to dry skin for good. It started with frequent moisturizing with lotion and eventually followed with changing my soap.

I discovered Dove. Before I really do not like using it because I was not used to the moisturized feeling of it. I do not like that feeling of soap still in my skin. I am not used to the smooth-feeling skin. Then I realized that is exactly how it works. It does not take all the moisture of my skin unlike the other soaps I used. I thought that when my skin feels slippery, there are still soap residues. I was wrong.

It has been months since I started using Dove Cream Bar soap and I am happy that my skin is now very smooth and fine. Because of this, I wanted to share with you this experience by having a little Dove giveaway.

Baby Teething Remedies

As previously mentioned, our little Maxyn is teething again. She’s been really fuzzy since weekend. She refuses to be put down and wants to be carried most of the time. When you put her down, she will play with her toys for a while. I think she remembers that her gums are aching because after that short time, she would start crying and even shouting. She has two pearls that are just peeking at the same time so I am assuming that she is really having a hard time. She is not the only person having difficulty, we do too. Here are the things we do to keep all of us sane.

  • When baby has low-grade fever, we give her pedia-recommended paracetamol. The dose is according to the baby’s age.
  • To sooth the pain of teething, we give our baby frozen items like spoon or teething rings.
  • Giving the baby some teething biscuits also works for us.
  • Sometimes, we apply Xylogel to the baby’s gums to also relieve the pain.
  • Most importantly, when the baby is teething, we show her more love and patience.

I really hope her two teeth come our fully soon because she keeps on biting me when I breastfeed her.
