Finally, Ayex’s exam week is already over. The grueling tutoring has come to an end. It was not easy teaching a pre-schooler two different subjects in a day with varying difficulty. Plus the fact that I have to teach her the right things, how it is taught at school, whether we have exams or not is pretty challenging because I am really afraid to teach her wrong things. This is very true when it comes to English. Phonetics alone made me a little crazy, what more teaching her how to properly use words. Top that with short attention span. But I admit, when she remembers what I taught her, it gives me pure joy.
Party = Food and Booze
It is the holiday season and everyone indulges one way or the other. Party invites are left and right and we do our best to attend each. But with all the food and booze available in each party, we should keep in mind that anything in less or excess is bad for our body. Be guided so we can have more parties in the coming year!
Luxury Living at Country Clubs
I have this sort of undiagnosed memory loss. My memory is really bad at times that I forget things in a matter of minutes. And you bet it drives me nuts sometimes. I know I am holding something before doing another thing then it will take me minutes to finally figure where I left the thing I was holding prior to doing the other activity. Crazy, I know. And I blame it to the epidural I got from birthing to my first born. But despite all that, I am thankful that the memory about the times I experience luxury living in country clubs is still intact.
My first ever visit to a country club was in my late childhood. We grew up spending our Saturday afternoons at the church attending catechism. That way, we became really close to the nuns and aspiring nuns. After the consecration of one of our friend nuns, we were brought to Tagaytay Highlands. And I was in awe! I rode a cable car for the first time in my life! It was a brief visit but loaded with a few firsts.
