Remembering Our Wedding Preps

I was browsing my Facebook feeds when I stumbled on some wedding pictures by some high school classmates. They attended the wedding of one of our classmates, just recently. I am not very close t my high school classmates. In fact, my best bud in high school came from a different section. If I can turn back time, I really wish I can be a little closer to them and give the saying high school life is the best a chance.

Speaking of turn back time and that wedding, I sort of remembered how hubby and I did our own wedding. Compared to many who plans and prepares for their big day, six to twelve months ahead, we did ours in barely three months. Thankfully, we pulled everything off through the help of our loved ones.

My mom has some really close priests and through that, we were able to book a beautiful church with our preferred date. We even got our priest celebrant as our godfather! And we are so thankful that there is a multi-purpose hall near our church. We were blessed to be allowed to use it as our wedding reception for FREE! As for the caterer, my mom also helped us in this area through our friends in the church. We were able to get a very affordable package. Our flowers were also arranged by people from our church and so is the wedding day coordination.

Motorcycle Safety Campaign

Our government launched a sort for motorcycle safety campaign recently. I guess they are now concerned that our local news for the day does not end without reporting a vehicular accident that involves a motorcycle. I personally get irritated to motorcycle drivers who drive as if they own the whole road to themselves. Or to those who leave their homes late but do not want to be caught up in traffic so they end of racing in the streets that are supposedly for pedestrian! Oh, another pet peeve when it comes to motorcycle drivers is that instead of using their helmet, they use them as display on the motorcycle handles or even on their arms! I mean those are made to protect their heads right?

I am so hoping that this motorcycle lane wherein the government assigned a lane specific for motorcycle riders only will be a success. I really hope aside from less accidents, this move will instill discipline to motorcycle drivers.

Lights and Sounds at Ayala Triangle

I was so excited for Ayex’s school vacation last December. As soon as her Christmas party at school ended, we moved to my mom’s place in Las Pinas for a little vacation. Ayex and Maxyn had a great bonding time with their grandma and aunts.

Originally, I planned to visit several places with the girls while we were there, to make the most of our short vacation. I really wanted to visit a park with the girls because the malls were so crowded because of the Christmas craze. Luneta Park in Manila was our choice but we did not make it. Instead, we let the girls play in the village clubhouse every morning as soon as they woke up. The had so much fun running around in the bare feet.

I also wanted to visit the food bazaar that happens every Friday to Sunday in Alabang, which is really near my mom’s place. The other food bazaars in the metro were simply too far from us and that their schedule do not meet ours. Unfortunately, that did not push through as well for some reasons.
