Day 1 Done, Day 2 Today

The school year 2012-2013 in Alex’s new school started yesterday. Her class was in the morning. It went well and I can see that she is still adjusting to this big school.

Today is her second day and the start of their regular classes. It is PE day and it makes me wonder what is in store for my little girl. In her previous school they have this indoor mini playground where they have slides, toy houses, teeter-totter and the likes. In this new school, I do not think they have any as I did not see any play area when we enrolled Alex. All we saw were two fish ponds, which compensated for the playground. As Alex said during her enrollment, Ok lang walang playground, may mga fish naman eh. Puntahan natin sila Mommy every day ha.

I hope and pray that Alex will have a grand time in this new school.

Wishing for a New Timepiece

I was fixing my watches today and I realized, many of my cute and cheap pieces are already defunct. Ugly straps, drained battery, and few scratches from day to day use can be seen in them.

Mother’s day had passed but our wedding anniversary, my birthday and Christmas are still coming. I still have reasons to ask for a new timepiece. I am thinking of asking for something that I can use for a long time, just like the Casio his and hers watch that we bought about three years ago. I did a little search online and I think I want a bulova watch.

On our next trip to the mall, I will check out the watch displays and decide on my pick so I can ask for it really early and that hubby can prepare himself. 😀

Proud To Be Raised Well

Today, Max and I rode the MRT. It sucks that “there is no courtesy lane for people with children, just for senior citizens” when buying tickets. Thanks to a knowledgeable guard and a considerate man who let this mom with a two-year-old in a sling buy ticket without having to go through the long line.

As expected, there were plenty of people waiting for the train already. Max and I went to the first cab. IN this cab, pregnant women, senior citizens and people with children should be given priority. Unfortunately, people these days no longer recognize that. I was prepared though to stand during the whole ride, about 30 minutes, until we reach the final station. No one offered their seat to us but after three stations, we were able to seat. I feel very sad that people these days seem to have forgotten their values. Maybe they just grew up and they WERE NOT RAISED.

Thanks to my parents for raising me and my siblings well. And I promise to them, I will not trade my values for anything. That is what I said to myself when I saw this on Facebook a couple of nights ago.

Oh, before I can forget, let me just say, BABY-WEARING ROCKS! Commuting with a baby is easy-peasy with the help of slings. Wish I have a picture of Max and I standing in midst of the crowd in the train.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
