Sleeping Problem

That is what I have been dealing for the past couple of weeks or so. No, it is not me. Er, yes, it is me. Ok, so that you will not be confused, here is the scenario.

For the past weeks, my daughters got sick, recovered and got sick again. Both of them became very clingy, specially Maxyn, our youngest. Unfortunately, the time she got sick was also the time I was trying to wean her from breastfeeding. Since she is not feeling well, I gave her what will make her feel better and comfortable – breastfeeding on demand. I knew that when I do that, I will start over again with the weaning process and the the two nights that she slept through without feeding from me will be all gone. I was ready to start again but I did not expect that it will be this hard.

Maxyn has been well since Sunday. Since then, she still wants to feed on demand. Let me correct that. She is not really feeding, she simply wants to have the nipple in her mouth all night. And it has given me two consecutive sleepless nights, not to mention an aching neck! Just before I type this post, she woke up briefly asking for milk. I did not give in and let her cry a little. I tapped her bottom and her sister’s at the same time to make them go back to dreamland.

Honestly, this scenario is frustrating me already. I am unable to update my blogs when the urge is there because Maxyn and/or Alex will suddenly wake up. When they are back to la-la land, my online time is already done. And I do not get to sleep straight, even for just three or four hours. In some cases, I wake up every hour!

Tell me, how do you keep your children asleep the whole night? What do I need to do to a 5yo and 2yo who co-sleeps with us so they stay in dreamland through the night?

Rain, Will You Stop, Please?

It has been raining continuously and there is no sign that it will soon stop. I planned to run again this afternoon, after my failed attempt last night, to soothe my aching legs. I was able to run 1.5KM, half of my target, in 10 minutes. After the stint, something in my nose does not feel right and my nape kind of hurts. I knew I had to stop and rest. But friends say that is normal for first times and so I am determined to run again today. I remember the first time I did metafit, my body was aching the whole day. I did another routine the next day and I was able to do it despite all the aching body parts. After several days of doing the intense exercise, my body was able to adjust. I know that will happen with this running too.

But this rain keeps on pouring. Boohoo.

I hope it stops already. Friends will run tomorrow for Run United 3 and the kids may get sick if they run in the rain. And those in low areas may get flooded again.

On second thought, running in the rain sounds fun. But no, I am not up for it now.

I Will Be Running Again!

I envy my friends who have been joining fun runs. It is their way of staying fit and bonding with their family and friends.

I used to be a runner. Track and field is something that I love to do since I was in elementary. It is my second sports next to volleyball. The last time I run was in highschool. I have been wanting to join fun runs like my friends but the race time and location keep holding me back. Or maybe I am just to chicken and I am just denying that.

Last week, Pehpot, invited me to a fun run, the Immuvit Fearless Challenge Leg 2. The location, which is Quezon City Circle, is very near me and it would a shame if I do not join. So I said yes to the challenge.

I will be conditioning my body this week and next. (Yeah, I have not started because of my monthly period, but I will be tomorrow.) Wish me luck!

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions.
