Importance of Second Car

I mentioned in my post last week that so many things happened to us while we were vacationing in Las Pinas. All these things made me realize the importance of having an available car at home, especially if you live in a village like ours where the nearest shops are miles away and having a car is the only means of transport which enables you to collect your shopping each week. If you did not read that post, let me remind you of a few things I mentioned.

On our first night of stay in LP, we grilled some fresh Tuna that was marinated in calamansi and soy sauce using our stove-top grill. There was plenty to go round, we all ate it as if our lives depended on it- it was delicious! Since it was dry for Maxyn, I put some Mang Tomas in her rice to give it a bit more texture. She finished everything in her bowl and ate a banana for dessert. Then before her clean-up time, my sister noticed that her face had turned reddish. I was shocked and panicked when I saw that her whole body was turning red, little by little! I figured we left her antihistamine at home so I asked my mom to buy a new one in the nearby grocery (about 10 minutes away). At this point, I was panicking even more. I had no idea what it was that was causing these effects. Questions were racing through my mind, what if the antihistamine didn’t work? What I to do for my poor child? I figured that if we left the village, there would cabs waiting which could take us to the nearest hospital. But what if there weren’t any cabs? We are left with the jeepney, which is a public vehicle and everyone who has travelled on one would know that it would take time for us to reach our destination. Thankfully, after giving Maxyn 2 tablespoons of white sugar, her redness slowly subsided. Many thanks to Mommy Kat for the first aid tip.

Laidback Luxury Soon

We have seen the plan. There were just a few adjustments and additions but technically, we have approved it.

My dad says, if things go well, including the funding, the whole structure will be livable in three months time at most. I cannot believe that building the whole thing can be that fast! But he has been acting as foreman for a few projects since when I cannot remember, so it means he knows what he is saying. Exciting right?

In my wish list, I will be including chaise lounge from ChaiseLounges.com for the terrace. But that can be dealt with after everything that is important has been settled. What is important is that the structure is ours and we can live in it.

Sleep and Vacation

I have been MIA for a couple of days because I was sleeping! Well, I really did not mean to. I actually want to find some online work to apply for but my eldest has been sleeping relatively late the past couple of days. And that is causing me to have little online time.

You see, I do not really like going online when my kids are still awake. I hate that Internet takes away precious time with my girls. Although there are times when I cannot help it, specially when there are things I need to take care of online. And when it happens more than once or twice, guilt slowly creeps in me.

My eldest is not yet on vacation mode but as early as now, I am seeing that her sleeping pattern will be changed. She will probably sleep a little later in the evening and a little more during day time. And I guess that is fine as long as she gets the appropriate number of hours of sleep. Besides, vacation is here for her to enjoy.

So if you see me without new posts, you already knew it. I spent time with my girls. 🙂

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
