Happy New Year!

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

How are you all? I hope all of you had a blast in welcoming 2011. It was a blast for us too.

Last night’s celebration was Maxyn’s first. I’m glad that this year, we didn’t have crying scenes as we welcome the new year. Maxyn is not afraid of the fireworks and even watched them as they explode in the sky. But when her Ate Ayex blew her torotor she gave out little sobs. Hahaha! Ayex also enjoyed watching the fireworks display outside our house. I’m happy that she’s starting to appreciate their beauty as they light the dark sky.

We feasted on siomai, siopao, sopas, ham, brownies, ube, leche flan, and black gulaman. Of course we followed the traditional 13 fruits and other Chinese beliefs.

We also started a new family tradition. All of us wore red last night, including the kids. I hope we can continue to have some sort of theme every year.

At 2AM, we called it the night.

2010 was a fruitful year for me and my family and I thank the Lord for it. I also thank all of you for being part of our 2010. May this year, 2011, be a better year for all of us.

Cheers!

Catching Up

Hello Everyone! How are you all? I hope all of you had a wonderful and memorable Christmas celebration. I’ve been offline since Christmas Eve and while I really meant to catch up on my blogging, my schedule just won’t permit me to go online.

My family is now here in Las Pinas, in my mom’s place, where we will stay until after the New Year. I have plans of meeting with various groups to catch up and it started last night.

Last night, I met with my college girlfriends and we had dinner at Kanin Club in West Gate, Alabang. I will post a review of the place in another entry. I like their Crispy Dinuguan and Bagoong Rice. Thanks to all my girlfriends who totally exerted effort to make this post-Christmas celebration come true.

My next schedule would include meet ups with my online mommy friends and Elementary friends. I really hope I can meet them all before we go back to Quezon City. And I also hope I can blog all the posts waiting for me. Wish me luck!

Emails That Make Me Proud

I saw this in my email this morning and I can’t help but feel proud of myself. I received a postcard at home from the same organization a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been meaning to share it here but I haven’t scanned the card.

Emails like this reminds me how lucky I am and makes me thankful for I am blessed.

I wish I can touch more lives for through it, I feel alive. I wish there would be more people who wants to touch others’ lives so more can experience the genuine happiness it brings. I wish more people would realize the true meaning of this season. If all of us will be compassionate, we will all live in a better world.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
