Lactation and Antiobiotics

As I mentioned in the blog I posted earlier, I was sick the past two days and is still as I write this. I visited the clinic near our office about three times just today and saw two different doctors. Scary huh? The pain is still there. I can feel it as I type now. It’s starting again. I really don’t like getting sick. I hate it even more when the doctor starts telling me that I should start taking antibiotics.

As most of you know, I’m still breastfeeding Ayex, who is now 2 years and 3 months old. And we, breastfeeding moms, know that antibiotics or some of its amount are transferred to the milk, which may not be good for the baby. This is my dilemma every time I will get sick. I compromise with my attending physician if they can give me something else as I cannot stop breastfeeding Ayex because she still refuses formula milk until now. I am very fortunate that there are some antibiotics that are safe for babies or that by the time I will taking them, I feel better.

I hope I will get better with the medication my doctors gave me today and that I will not have to take the antibiotics.

Little Thoughts

I was sick the past two days and had to skip work. While I was home, I alternate between playing with Ayex and sleeping with her. In those days, I also discovered little things because of my curiosity. I will not share them in details. With the following thoughts, you might guess them anyway.

  • Never ask if you’re not ready to hear the answer.
  • If you don’t have anything good to say, just shut your mouth!
  • There’s no way you can please everyone.
  • Looks are pretty deceiving.
  • If you think you already know a person, think again!
  • People will talk sh*t behind your back but who cares. What is important is you know yourself and you do not step on other people’s toes.
  • Patience is a very important virtue.
  • Believe in KARMA.
  • Praying and blogging will keep you sane!

What Ayex got from me?

I really think that Ayex is an equal combination of Mon’s genes and mine. There’s no such thing as mas malakas ang genes ko or ni Mon (Mon’s genes or mine is more noticeable) in Ayex’s body. There are even times when we think she’s good at blending with the person she’s with because somehow, they look like each other! But that’s in another post. In this post, I’ll show you what Ayex got from Mommy’s genes.

Ayex has 3 puyo just like I do. Hubby would often teases me that Ayex got her being cry baby from me although at times I think Ayex is just being her age – a baby. Her legs, which are not visible in the picture were also from me, I admit that, it runs in our family! Her lips and mine are of the same shape. This goes true for her nose as well. I know I should not consent it but at an early age, Ayex have shown her love for sweets, just like I do! At times, we’d get a little worried because Ayex is a little short for her age, but since I am not that tall, she probably inherited my bone structure (not all models are that tall!). Apart from physical characteristics, I think Ayex also inherited some of my attitudes like the love for photo ops. At two, she has also shown great interest in gadgets, which Mon and I share. Lastly, I think Ayex inherited my love for shoes having more pairs now than I do.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
