Back to Ballet

It has been a week since the new helpers came in. They are doing fine but has to be taught how things run in our home. Thanks to them, we hit our target of enrolling Ayex back to ballet school last Friday. She has been on leave since the start of school year. We wanted to see how she was adjusting with school first before we add another activity in her plate. Plus, Ate Meriam went on a vacation and while I can be super mommy at times, I cannot imagine myself bringing Ayex to ballet after her Friday class, sleepy and tired with clingy Maxyn in tow. (That is quite a long sentence.)

This is another time for me to be out of our house. I seriously needed that time when I can smell some fresh air (actually more of polluted air). Also, it allows me to regularly interact with people in flesh an not just virtually. Hahaha!

Ayex missed her ballet classmates and so are the stores below Pink Toes, the ballet school where she goes to. I also did. We checked them out last Saturday after her second session and saw some gorgeous gemstone beads. I noticed that I am getting attracted to jewelries recently. Gaaa, if I give in, that would mean I need to earn more. Or maybe, Santa will include me in his list since I am a good girl.

Claiming SSS Sickness Benefit

This is my first time to claim an SSS sickness benefit. I was inspired to file a claim for my infected eczema after reading Mommy Joy’s post about voluntary member’s benefits. All I can say is it is a bit tedious and that is probably why many, even if they are fully aware of this benefit, decide not to claim it anymore.

I had to go back to the SSS office three times for this claim. The first I did not know that physical examination by their own nurses/doctors is only done fro 8 AM to 12 NN. I went there after lunch. I went back the following day in the morning. I was examined but was asked to go back again because the recent premium payments I made were not yet posted and they asked another report from the doctor who saw me. The third one is today when I had to submit the claim, which also took the longest!

To avoid hassles just like what I had gone through, here are some tips.

Still Recovering

The reason why I am vowing to Be Happy is because when I am stressed out, I get skin allergies. That is exactly what happened to me after our anniversary. I was feeling really down the previous week and it took a toll on me. I developed abscess on the right side of my right foot, apart from the wound on my sole. The following day, I am unable to walk.

infected eczema

Good thing that we have an appointment with our pedia on that day, I had an opportunity to have my wound seen by a doctor. A general surgeon saw my wound and I was so surprised to know that the wound was as big as a 25 cents coin already! The doctor said it was an infected eczema. He cleaned the wound, removed all the pus and prescribed me with anti-biotics. He also put some iodosorb powder on the wound. He asked me to see him again the following Tuesday, same day when we have to go back to our pedia.

I saw him again and the wound has not yet healed that time. He asked me to be back again the following Saturday but I did not make it. Last weekend, we went to the pedia again because Maxyn is sick. I was hoping to see the surgeon but this time, he is out of the country. Finally today, he saw me again. The wound has healed but he said I have to see a dermatologist. I guess it will take some time before it totally heals because I had another dose of stress just last week as I hunt for helper.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions.
