ULY Acts Up Again

ULY is our car. Hubby uses it everyday on his way to work and we use it on weekends or practically whenever we need to go somewhere. Hubby went on leave from his work since Monday because of our Boracay escapade and we did not us it that day. Come Tuesday, I was waiting for hubby to tell us that we are already leaving for the airport because he and Papa Bert are quite busy checking up on ULY. I can sense that something is wrong. Still we opted to use ULY. We are already at Fort Bonifacio when the temperature of the aircon increased and it was already hot inside. The light on the clock also died. I was praying really hard that we make it safe at the airport.

We did. Thank God! But right after hubby turned of the engine at the parking lot, it would not start again. We did not think of the problem yet as the car will be parked there while we are away.

When we came back, my dad, Papa Nollie thought ULY was already fixed as it started without any problem. But after a kilometers, the engine died. They had to park it in a nearby gas station as we are still in Kalibo, waiting in vain for our flight back to Manila. Hubby called Papa Bert so he could bring the FX to the airport to tow ULY. Good thing we have trailer hitches that we could use during an emergency like this. We were able to get home safe and sound.

Yesterday hubby and Papa Bert were so busy checking up ULY but they could not find what is wrong. All the electricals are ok. They went for a test drive and it starts without a problem and runs continuously. Hay ULY not now please, not now.

Finally Home

Hello Everyone!!!

We are finally back home and I am online once more. I have been away from the Internet since Monday and I missed all of you! How is the online world, huh? I have so much to share. There is our reef walking experience; the courteous and no-so friendly people our hotel has; Ayex’s first rainbow sighting; our 12-hours of wasted time by Zest Air; Maxyn’s antics in Boracay and many many more.

Just give me time because my head is still kind of spinning because we were so tired on our way home. And no, that is not caused by the whole getaway but by the 12-hour flight delay that Zest Air caused us! I will make a blow by blow account on that. For now, thanks for dropping me a visit.

D Day…

…As in departure day.

Today, Ate Meriam will leave for a two-month vacation. She has been with us since April of last year. Actually, that is already her second term. We got her October of 2007, then she left in 2009 then she returned last year.

She is really good in taking care of us, specially my two girls when I am at work. And while it is hard not to have her around, I cannot deprive her of seeing her own children and grandchildren. Anyway, she will back by September, before we hit the white sands of Boracay.

Meanwhile, I have talked to our laundry/iron woman if she could help us as a stay-out helper. She already agreed but now, I am having second thoughts. Tatay is always with us here at home and so is Nanay. I think we can do all the chores ourselves, besides, nobody else can take care of Maxyn except me or Mond.

To our Lola Meriam, have a safe trip and we will miss you!

The Good Helper

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
