Ayex’s 3rd Magazine Appearance

Actually, it is a family picture, minus Maxyn of course.

The photo above was featured in Parents’ Pointers section of SmartParenting magazine’s April 2010 issue. This section features smart, tried and tested tips from parents. My entry was about the time when we we’re introducing Mr. Clock to Ayex.

Here is the full version of the page.

You too can share to other parents your tried and tested parenting tips. All you have to do is email your tips to justine[at]smartparenting[dot]com[dot]ph and use parents’ pointers as the subject heading. You should also include your name, age, city of residence, contact #, names & ages of kids.

Maxyn turns 2 months today

She’s one big adorable baby. Many say she looks like a 6-month old baby that I sometimes feel she’s no longer a baby. She now weighs 13.7lbs. She can keep her head steady for some time already and follows the talking person with her eyes.

To celebrate, hubby cooked pork barbeque and palabok.

Hubby prepared this last night using Clara Ole Barbeque Marinade. I like its taste and tenderness.

For this sauce, hubby used Mama Sita’s palabok mix. I never knew palabok can be done this easy. It was my sister-in-law who taught us this when she was here last summer.

Thank God that almost everyone in the family in now sore eyes-free, we were able to truly celebrate.

Sore Eyes

I was putting Maxyn to sleep last Saturday when I noticed Ayex’s right eye. It was watery and a bit red. We suspect it as sore eyes but we’re unsure. Since it was already late, hubby and I agreed that we’ll just bring her the the hospital the next day. Sunday came and we brought her to Capitol Medical Center’s emergency room. The pedia said it looks like sore eyes but suggested that we see an ophthalmologist to be sure. It was very timely that our doctor is in a clinic in Trinoma. We were right and was prescribed with Tobradex. Since I was taking care of Maxyn, hubby took care of Ayex. When he woke up in the middle of the night, his eyes were already infected. When we woke up in the morning, Ate Meriam told me that her daughter, Em-em, has sore eyes too. A few minutes ago, Em-em said Ate Meriam has sore eyes already and so is my mother-in-law. Then I saw Maxyn, her left eye started to become watery already.

In a household with 6 adults, 1 kid and 1 infant, only me and my father-in-law have clear eyes. That leaves me as the sole caretaker of Maxyn. Hello backache!

Please pray for the fast recovery of my family.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
