Did you notice the circle? Almost perfect right? Ayex used one of her DVDs to draw it by herself according to her Lolo. I am amazed! Looks like she’s picking a lot from Playhouse Disney’s Art Time!
Meet and Greet the Sesame Street Characters
It took me a while before I signed up for Facebook. Everyone is already crazy about it and its various games but I continue to ignore the invitations I get. Why? Because I didn’t like to have another account to maintain. However, various friends finally convinced me when they introduced me to contests that you can find in Facebook only. So I signed up.
Most of the contests in Facebook are based on popularity. The entry that gets the most number of Likes wins. Being someone who is online due to work, I wasn’t able to focus on such contest, reducing my chances of winning to the tiniest. I’m glad though that I’ve discovered various promotions by smartparenting.com.ph over Facebook.
One of the promotions smartparenting.com.ph had was about Sesame Street. All you have to do is tell them your child’s best Sesame Street story and they will choose who will win. I like contests like this because no voting is involved. I made sure to join because Ayex loves Elmo so much that she watches her DVD almost the whole day! Below is the entry that gave us two tickets to the Sesame Street Summer Fiesta last April 17 at the Mall of Asia.

Since I had work, I asked my sister, Gabby, to pick up our ticket on my behalf. Good thing her shift starts in the afternoon.
When I got home, I showed Ayex our tickets and asked her who are the characters she sees. She was very excited to answer and got more excted when I told her we’re seeing them in person!
I was wrong though. We didn’t see Elmo and Cookie Monster. Instead, we met with Ernie and Bert. I was a bit frustrated and Ayex kept asking where is Elmo. In the end, she still enjoyed the whole thing and even kissed Ernie and Bert. Up to now, when she remembers the event, she tells us the story but still asks where is Elmo. I hope one day, she’ll really get to greet Elmo live.
Ayex’s First Pet
Last June 30, we took advantage of the special holiday and hit SM North Edsa. We should have think twice because when we got there, we could barely get our car parked!
Anyway, we were able to park our car. We were full force, Max included. Yes, it was Maxyn’s first time to hit SM. Hahaha! I didn’t want to be left alone at home so we decided to just bring her along.
We actually had an agenda. We were suppose to buy things like towels and fabric for Ate Meriam’s project bed sheet. Mon, Ayex, Maxyn and I separated from Nanay, EmEm and Ate Meriam as they have their own agenda. When we were finished with ours, we looked for them. They said they were in the Foodcourt area.
We were on the escalator going down to the Foodcourt area when Ayex saw Bioresearch. Without a blink, she blurted Daddy di pa tayo nakabili ng pet fish ko! We kept on forgetting about it but not that day. Mon was not able to escape it anymore and gave in to his little girl’s request. We came home that day with a new addition in the family – a fish that is.

You bet she’s super excited about it that she wants the aquarium on the carpet every now and then so she can see it. Maybe that’s the reason why it developed a crack. Yep, after 3 days, we had to transfer the fish in a plastic container because the aquarium had leaks. Goodbye PhP300. Hahaha! One of the fish had died too. There are still 3 fish in the container which she feeds daily.
How about you, what was your child’s first pet?
