Stocks and Supplies

How did it started, I cannot really remember. All I know is that when I was single, I was not like this.

Not that I am bragging, but among us siblings, I am probably the most domesticated one. I can run a home and manage it smoothly. Thanks to my active mom, I was trained this way.

But when I got married, my being domesticated took the back seat for a while and I am so glad it is slowly creeping to the front seat again now. Thanks to times without house helps, I am reminded to stand up on my own and practice my unused skills.

One of the things I love about being domesticated is ensuring the availability of supplies. I get really nuts when stocks ran out, specially for some items. When I was single, running out of stocks was normal because we do not buy by bulk. When I got married, we really stock up, which lessens the trip to the grocery.

Two weeks ago, I bought these things from a local store near the wet market Alex and I pass by from school. I love that store. They sell mainly plastic supplies but they have other household stuff that is why I love frequenting them.

supplies

small round microwavable containers, kiddie toothbrushes, brush for clothes, shoe glue

How about you, do you stock such things also?

Change Shift

Those words are synonymous! Hahaha!

So maybe March is still not the start of my blogging year. It’s first week started with Alex’s final exams and yeah, we were really busy reviewing, thus no post. After her three day exams, they resumed to their regular schedule but had to undergo another change of shift yesterday. This whole week, Alex’s school schedule is 7:30am, as a preparation for their graduation on Saturday. OMG, by June, we already have a grade-schooler!!!! Can we pause the time for a while, please????

Ok, save the sentiments for now.

If you’ve been reading my posts, you would know by now that this is an extra challenge for us because we are not morning people, specially me. But I welcomed the change. And what do you know, for two days, we are not late for school. I did not have a hard time waking up Alex and preparing her. That makes me think now if I should transfer her to the morning class come next school year. But that would mean losing the chance to be part of the cream section. (I wish all school would just shuffle all students year after year and that there would be no cream section anymore.) Anyway, that is another post. I am kind of proud of myself and Alex.

After this week, it is officially vacation for us. Woot woot! Time to think of the girls’ summer activities!

Seasonal Clothes on Sale

Did you ever observe that when a season is over, clothes for that season will be on sale? I remember some of my friends who shopped for winter clothes during summer time. And that saved them several hundreds of dollars. So the best time to shop for jackets, scarves, gloves, and other winter clothes will be during the summer of the spring break.

A friend shared to me one time that she was able to grab a columbia jackets on sale at their nearest Walmart and she also drag a couple of her girlfriends and they buy one for themselves each. It ended up that the three of them have similar jackets and they took a picture of the three of them together with the new jacket on. It looks nice on them! I wish I am in a country where I can use jacket during the cold season.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
