Mommy Bloggers Hot Idea #1

I have not blogged much this week. My writing mojo is still elsewhere and I am having a hard time pulling myself together. But I did not just waste my time over at Facebook. I took the time to read on what fellow mommy bloggers share on their blogs recently. I was surprised that they posted things I have been meaning to ask or research on. Now that they have started it, I have more inspiration to do my search because I now know where to start.

While it has started to rain, I am still determined to enroll Maxyn to a swimming lesson. Thanks to Mommy Kat for writing about this topic. I am now informed what to expect when I finally get to ask the school near us that offer swimming lessons for toddlers as well as what my tot can benefit from the lesson.

Mommy Pehpot’s take on gadgets and kids is another hit for me. It is comforting to read familiar activities that I already do with my girls in her list of things to do without gadgets. I am doing fun things with the girls after all. And the twist in some of the activities she listed, I can’t wait to try them here in our home. In this era where gadgets has been taking away physical activities from families, parent’s should really declare a NO GADGET DAY. :p

So your parents declared the NO GADGETS DAY. Do not mumble, answer back or question their decision. Instead of rebelling, just follow them because after it, you’d surely thank them. As Mommy Phoebe put it, understanding parenthood may seem like an out of this world idea but when you become one, you will definitely appreciate your folks more and all the time they said NO to you.

I am with Mommy Sammy when she said that the key to eating while pregnant is MODERATION. We can use our pregnancy to eat anything and everything that we want to satisfy ourselves and the little one in our womb. But we have to remember that less or more of anything is not good. Fresh produce like fruits and vegetables are always a safe choice. Eat well and the baby inside will be well too.

However, there are times when no matter how careful we are in taking care of our children, from womb to birth, there are things that happen where we do not have any control. In any case that you feel that your baby is delayed on some aspects, that s/he is not within the milestones s/he should have achieved, stop thinking twice and seek expert advice. Thanks to Mommy Levy for writing about early intervention, I myself now have a better understanding of this topic.

It is still summer according to the weather bureau but there has been scattered rain showers the past days. Make sure you and your children prevent cough and colds to keep the summer fun going.

Lost

That is exactly how I am feeling right now. I have been missing since last week. My schedule has been pretty hectic with ballet rehearsals that end just a few hours before the date changes. I am glad it is over now. Our ballerina did great, if I may say. However, I like last year’s show better than this one, and so does everyone else in the family.

I have not yet picked up myself. I think the hormones are to be blamed, it is almost THAT time of the month, that is why. I have things piling up but I am still struggling at things.

I will come back, promise.

Keeping Things Tidy

I am thankful to have married a very organized man. My husband proved to me that some men know where the hamper is, that blankets should be folded after usage, that papers should be piled and labeled properly.

I used to be a little disorganized as that is how I grew up. But like in many other things, practice makes perfect. I am not saying that I am always organized now. I can still be disorganized, specially with my thoughts. An everyday reminder to myself of the things I need to do, clean, throw, etc, keeps me going to the perfect path. Of course, tidying will never be possible with the use of tools. I have tons of folders and envelopes for paper stuff. I have elastics for everything that can be tied. Organizers like those from kendall howard are found in almost every corner of our home.

Some say we are too strict with regards to how our things are organized. They may be right. But for us, we just want to keep everything tidy, neat and organized.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
