Little Girls Should Wear Dresses

That is certainly what I believe in and is trying to practice with our girls. Actually, I think, girls, no matter what their age is should wear dresses more often. But due to many constraints, we do not. Like us, moms, we will surely have a hard time running after our kiddos at the park if we keep on minding our dress that is being blown away by the wind. But when circumstances permit, wear a dress! I do, and I feel really pretty when I am wearing a dress.

And so, I recently bought my girls custom-made dresses from a friend. I chose a design from Jazzshoppe’s collections, took my girls’ measurements, sent them to Glenda, and after two days, I got the dresses! I am actually thinking of ordering these dresses for Maxyn, Alex and me so that the three of us will be wearing matching dresses. Maybe when I have extra funds. 😀

Tagaytay Weekend – Part 2

Thanks to Wreych, my Tito’s wife, who refuses to be called Tita, for arranging our accommodation in DAP.

We stayed in a cottage. It is a bungalow house with two rooms, two t&b, spacious living area, indoor and outdoor kitchen, and garage. They offered to transfer us into a one room suite but we refused so tiis kami. 😛 They gave us extra mattresses and breakfast for 4 for free, parang danyos perwisyo. They also arranged a room for us where we can take a bath for the hot and cold water. Di ko gugustuhing maligo dun without the hot water sa lamig! Couple of hours before our early check out, nagkakuryente. Ayos! Keri lang naman talaga yung brownout. No big deal. We were surprised at the amount we paid for. More than 50% off!

We checked out early because we are still going to Palace in the Sky and that we need to be home early because Kev and Gab are still going to watch KPOP concert that night.

At People’s Park or Palace in the Sky, you can hike going up or ride a jeepney. In our case, since we have two little girls in tow, we rode the the jeepney. For the first 8 people, it costs PhP40. Every succeeding person costs PhP5 each. Aside from the great view of the lake, there was not much to rave about. The place is not well-maintained and vandalism is everywhere. Even the signage is so crappy! I wish government can fix this. Sayang, daming tourists ang nagpupunta at nakakakita.

It was already noon when we left Palace in the Sky. We stopped by rotonda again to buy delicious yema from that store I forgot to take the name. Their yema is solid until the insides, PhP160/25pcs. We bought 4 boxes, 3 of which, Kev will bring home to Guam. And I was able to buy Tito Louie’s lambanog for his boss!

Another thing we did in Tagaytay was to take jump shots.

And let me finish this post with a cute posing of the girls and my sister and bf by the DAP logo. Parang dalaga lang si Ate Alex!!

Tagaytay Weekend – Part 1

So I am finally making my long over due post about our Tagaytay trip. Thanks to Picture Collage Maker Free for making it easy for me to collage the photos. 😀

It was Kev’s last weekend here in Manila and I and the girls have not bonded with him that much. I really wanted to make time for him because I know, it will take years again before we see each other again. So I planned things out. Absent muna si Alex sa school. Malakas loob ko kasi kakatapos lang ng exam and Friday is simply PE day. It was Thursday when we left for Las Pinas kasi nga dun na kami manggagaling to Tagaytay. I, the two girls, Rossel our helper and Mama Fe commuted to Las Pinas from QC.

Mejo tinanghali kami but it was ok. Our first stop was at Mang Inasal in Olivares. We bought our lunch and went to Picnic Grove. Saktong-sakto. We used one of the picnic tables there na hindi pala free! The one we used costs PhP150 ata but no one approached us for the payment, so libre mesa namin. We ate lunch and started strolling the area.

The highlights of this park are: Overlooking area, zip line, cable car and horse-back riding. Nonetheless, excited kami lahat i-try kasi it was our first time. One-way ride of zip line costs PhP200, di pa kasama yung souvenir photo. Pero kami, nilibre nila ng two shots each, siguro kasi marami kami, yes including Ate Rossel. 😀 And yes, I was so thankful I experienced it because my girls rode the cable car with my mom and granny. While Kev and I are on the zip line, they were on the cable car. And no, they were not scared of the heights!

After the zip line, we said we will go to DAP first to check-in. No one among us knew where it is. On our way back to the parking area, we passed by the horse-back riding area. I really wanted for the girls to experience it, lalo na si Maxyn na hindi nakasakay ng kalabaw when we went to Lusiana last year for Undas. So we looked for the man who offered us his horse and made a deal with him. Mejo maliit kabayo nia pero keri lang. Ayoko na magpalit ng ibang kausap to keep my word. Horse-back riding costs PhP200/hr min of 1h. Sulit bayad for Maxyn. And up until now, she keeps on saying “ride ako sa horse”.

Then we went to DAP na nasa tapat lang pala ng Picnic Grove! Paglabas daw namin, left lang until we reach the rotonda. Yun pala, paglabas namin, as in yung kabilang gate lang!
