Words of a Two Year Old

This was supposed to be posted yesterday…

The past weekend went well. We had to go back in LP again after July 18 visit because we’re celebrating our Nanay Isay’s 85th birthday.

The birthday celebration was a blast! I met a cousin whom I last saw when he was just about 5 years old and I was… never mind. free image hosting We were both part of our Tito Noel’s and Tita Chique’s bridal entourage.

Apart from Herbert, I also met my Kuyas, who both now have their own families! Quota na sila! Both of them have 2 kids already – a boy and a girl. Ours, it’s part of the roadmap. free image hosting

We were in LP at around 1PM and the celebration officially started at around 7PM and ended at midnight. It was tiring but fun.

On our way to my mom’s place, I vowed that we’ll just sleep the whole Sunday morning. I know, I thought of that already. It has been two weeks since I last heard the Sunday mass. Bad. So we slept the whole morning. I woke up at 10AM because I had to go to the bathroom but I intend to go back to sleep. Unfortunately, both hubby and Ayex were already awake when I returned to our room.

Both hubby and I are still lying on the bed while Ayex sat beside hubby. We are still very lazy. After a while Ayex bluntly said Asan na yung bag ko?! (Where is my bag?). Tuwid na tuwid yung pagkasabi niya na talagang natawa kami! (She said it very clearly that we laughed out of amusement). She is referring to my used-to-be lunch bag/milk bag, which she now use as her toy storage. Ayex is really growing too fast that she has new words to say everyday.

Sunday went by. We killed the time by watching local channels as we don’t have cable TV in LP. Gab and I were supposed to go to the salon for some treatment but it started raining. Soon it was time to go home.

Good thing we left LP earlier than usual. By the time we reached Trinoma, it was raining very hard and traffic is jammed! We reached home safe. After dinner, we didn’t bother to watch TV anymore. Mon, Ayex and I lie on our bed while playing. Ayex was moving from side to side while saying random words. I can’t understand most of them as her voice is low. Then she said this loud and clear: Mahal ko si Mommy Nicquee (I love Mommy Nicquee). My heart melted. I asked what was that and she happily said it again.
