The News Make My Heart Sink

I have not been watching the news lately because I feel too much negativity on the content. I think the good news that they air is not even two percent of the whole thing. But today, there is something that tells me to change channels, from Disney Junior to ABS-CBN.

I was preparing the girls for clean-up time when the news about flood in Bulacan showed up. I feel pain in my chest and tears in my eyes. These people have nothing to eat, no clean water to drink and are wet! How on Earth did the flood happen?! And why the hell it is not yet subsiding considering that Pedring is already out?!

I showed the news to Ayex hoping she will be able to absorb what I am telling her. She just took a few spoonfuls for supper and said she was full. Then asked for her Bake ‘n Churn ice cream that she requested after ballet. It was quite a disappointment. I hate it when people waste food because not everyone, like these people, always eat three square meals a day and there was I, giving up because I cannot argue with Ayex about food anymore.

To typhoon Quiel, can you just miraculously disappear?

Pedring Out, Quiel Coming In

So a day has passed and everything was a bit better yesterday. At least in our side of the Metro. Our friend who live in places that were flooded were able to go online already so say they are ok but are still cleaning up the mess Pedring brought them.

Today, the sun is out and I really hope the clothes we washed yesterday will get dried because Quiel has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility. This name rings a bell because it is my former boss’ nickname. Quiel, my boss, is a kind person, in fact, very people-person. I hope Quiel, the typhoon, will be like that too and makes no damage in the already damaged places. I heard in the news that we are talking about billions of destructed rice fields.

Trucks and Accidents

I really wish that law enforcement in this country where I live would be stricter. It may cause a lot of hassle to violators but at least, everyone will learn a lesson and do their best to abide the law. I am saying this because plenty seem to take the law for granted. Why? Because they think they can always escape it. This is very true to truck drivers and other public utility vehicle drivers. This is another reason why I think trucking companies should invest in the best truck gps available in the market.

Not all drivers in this country where I live in are properly trained. Not all are familiar with the roads they go and will be going. These are just among the reasons why accidents happen. Properties and lives are affected and I really think it is high time for the government to enforce the law it made properly.
