2011 Revisited

Ok. Let’s get the ball rolling.

I really wanted to start my 2012 blogging life with this post. But a blessing came in really early and who am I decline, right. So this had to wait until now.

I dug my archives for my 2011 goals and what do yah know, I accomplished two out of three (2/3)! Woot woot!

Goal 1: My rebonded hair still looks great despite having no treatment for a year now. I vow to continue taking care of it by using great shampoo and conditioning daily. As for my skin, putting lotion is now a habit. Same goes for cleansing my face. I still have to practice more with toning and moisturizing my face.

Goal 2: I did a weigh in this morning and I am down to 115lbs! Woohoo! It is still not the ideal weight for my body type but I am so getting there! Quitting my job, exercising daily (aka yaya mode to two active angels), and spending some moolah for non-invasive slimming treatments paid off! Last 5lbs to get rid off, let’s do this!

My blogging life also soared last year. I may not earn much like when I have a full-time work outside home but I earn enough for me to eat ice cream when I want to. LOL. I gained more friends and they are some of the blessings I am mostly thankful for.

There were also a lot of firsts last year and I am thankful they happened! There is Maxyn’s first birthday party. Then the girls’ first airplane ride with my parents and siblings.

2011 was a good year for me and my family despite some bumps here and there. And with positive energy, welcome 2012! I know you have a lot in store for us!

Smooth And Memorable Wedding

A very very close friend of mine just got married the other day. I’ve known this couple since high school so it’s been really wonderful to finally watch them tie the knot together and embark on their future life together. Her wedding was held in one of the gardens and parks nearby and it’s always been her dream wedding to have things done on a small, minimalist scale with only close friends and relatives. Being a vegan and a very environmental conscious couple, they chose to set the theme of their wedding based on recycled products. All their invitation cards and guestbooks were made from products made out of recycled paper. Guests were given wonderful wedding gifts in eco-friendly recycled bags. I was so proud of her for standing so firmly by her principles.

The wedding was not planned on too grand scales. They just wanted something cozy and intimate. So here’s a hearty congratulations to the happy couple and may they make many happy memories together for the rest of their lives.

Luxury Living at Country Clubs

I have this sort of undiagnosed memory loss. My memory is really bad at times that I forget things in a matter of minutes. And you bet it drives me nuts sometimes. I know I am holding something before doing another thing then it will take me minutes to finally figure where I left the thing I was holding prior to doing the other activity. Crazy, I know. And I blame it to the epidural I got from birthing to my first born. But despite all that, I am thankful that the memory about the times I experience luxury living in country clubs is still intact.

My first ever visit to a country club was in my late childhood. We grew up spending our Saturday afternoons at the church attending catechism. That way, we became really close to the nuns and aspiring nuns. After the consecration of one of our friend nuns, we were brought to Tagaytay Highlands. And I was in awe! I rode a cable car for the first time in my life! It was a brief visit but loaded with a few firsts.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
