To My Little Darling

As you are reading this, we are probably busy getting ready, in transit or in Star City already. I don’t want to believe that time flies by so fast but it is the reality.

Just a year ago, same time of the year, Ayex was attending pre-nursery class and I was 4 months pregnant with Maxyn. Same time last year, I finally weaned her from breastfeeding because my pregnancy makes me an irritable person and her habits during our sessions makes me irritated. I weaned her because I don’t want to keep scolding her for petty things but I can’t just control my moods.

And now, after a year, here she is, all smart and naughty. She talks as if she is an adult like us. She borrows the laptop and tells us to tell the people she wants to talk to that they’ll talk over skype or plays Purble Place. Sometimes she’ll act as a very independent tot. During her moody days, she competes with Maxyn for attention or gets mad at little things she can’t control. Idon’t want to believe that I have a little girl now. I was just giving birth to her and now, she asks me for take homes as soon as I enter the door. Hay, why can’t babies stay as babies for a longer time?

I pray that my little girl will grow up to be a respectful and God-fearing person. May she continue to be bright and smart. May she understand in the fure that the things we do are for her and Maxyn.

Happy birthday, my darling Ayex!

My 2011 Goals

I went back to my posts last January 2010 to check the goals I wrote and was surprised that I actually achieved three out of four. But those goals are materials. I just realized today that I didn’t write any other plan (read: resolutions). I actually can’t believe that because I feel like I wrote something before.

Anyway, if you don’t have any idea on what were my material goals last year, you can click here. I want to post the links of the goals I achieved but looks like I haven’t blogged about them except for my camera. Boo me! I really have tons of things I should post about but forgets them. *deep sigh here*

Anyway, let me continue with my 2011 goals.

I was watching TV during the holiday season when I heard someone said that when you choose a resolution, you should stick to just a few (like only two) and you should pronounce them and make people know it. (That’s a lot of and there) So this year, I am focusing my resolutions and they’re as follows:

1. Take care of my skin and hair. I don’t have a skin care regimen because I am lazy and I realized that it is high time that I start loving my skin more. As for my hair, you have seen how unruly my hair is on pictures. Whatever I wear, I don’t feel confident because of my wind-blown hair. This year, I will regain that confidence. I started with a hair rebond last December 26 and I promise to take care of my hair so it won’t go back to being buhaghag.

2. Get rid of my pregnancy fats. It has been six months and I still have a huge belly that sometimes people mistaken me as pregnant. This year, I will exercise regularly to get the shape I have before I got pregnant with Ayex.

3. Materially, our goal is to finally own a house and a sustainable business.

That’s it. I will go back here again next year and hopefully I am successful in achieving these goals.

Emails That Make Me Proud

I saw this in my email this morning and I can’t help but feel proud of myself. I received a postcard at home from the same organization a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been meaning to share it here but I haven’t scanned the card.

Emails like this reminds me how lucky I am and makes me thankful for I am blessed.

I wish I can touch more lives for through it, I feel alive. I wish there would be more people who wants to touch others’ lives so more can experience the genuine happiness it brings. I wish more people would realize the true meaning of this season. If all of us will be compassionate, we will all live in a better world.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
