To Sell Online is My Passion

I already told you before that my mom thinks I could be a business woman right? She said so because I used to sell online different things.

The small business started with diapers. We only have Ayex that time. She learned how fun it is to remove the tapes of her diaper and walk around naked and pee wherever. She sure had fun doing her crazy antics but that left u having a smelly house. There were even times when we cannot find where she peed and we will only find out when somebody complained of almost slipping. We bought pull-ups diapers from my supplier for personal use. We were so happy with it that I decided to share it with other moms. I bought regular diapers and made Ayex our guinea pig. She tried each and every brand before we add it to our list of brands for sale. That way, each time a client or prospective buyer asks for advice or review, I tell them our experience. It is funny because some clients share the exact same sentiments that we do. And since I meet up with clients or they pick up their order, we had chance to share stories of our kids, how they make us crazy and how they make us feel fulfilled at the same time. We have a mommy connection, and the dads too!

Eventually, I expanded to gadgets. Mobile phones and PSPs are the most ordered gizmos from me. Then I also ventured in RTW for both women and kids.

Selling is really something that I am good at, if I may say. I really hope I can revive the site soon. I am sure my old clients will be delighted!

I am participating in a blog campaign for an ecommerce solution company for Bucks2Blog and was compensated. However, the views and opinions are my own.

Waste Segregation

Hello Everyone! I hope all of you had a good start this week.

A few months ago, we were advised that garbage collection schedule in our village will chance from Wednesday/Saturday to Monday/Wednesday/Saturday. Apart from that, the baranggay is also implementing waste segregation. Monday/Friday, only biodegradable garbage will be collected and Wednesday is allotted for non-biodegradable materials.

I love the idea. It is not a secret that I am trying to promote green-living and this is sort of helping me convince everyone in the family to do their share.

Our first try failed. We segregated our waste but when the collector comes to get them, we noticed that they simply take everything we bring out, biodegradable or not. Eventually, we mixed our waste in one bag again.

One Saturday, people from the baranggay did a house-to-house visit. They gave us flyers that contain information about this drive. I took the chance to tell them our observation. They said we can take note of the truck’s body number then report it to them. They also stressed that we should only bring out what is due for collection for the day. Since then, I initiated to segregate the garbage again. I asked one of the guards who always has spare large cans to give me one so that the plastic for the other waste type has a container.

Until now, we are still segregating our garbage. Ayex is getting the hang of it too! She would ask where she should throw her garbage and I am happy that she understands it. I just really hope that we strictly follow what the baranggay people said: ONLY BRING OUT WHAT SHOULD BE COLLECTED. I hate it that they also bring out the non-biodegradable stuff on a Monday simply because they are plenty already. Or maybe the helper did not understand what my FIL told her. Maybe papa told her to bring them out too but not together with what is due for collection. That is possible.

I really hope everyone here at home does their share, and so are the people in the whole village. Then I hope the baranggay will start eliminating plastic bag usage in the public markets and groceries.

Safe Internet Usage: Read and Practice

Last night, I was on my Facebook wall when I saw several posts from a relative. His post was about Miley Cyrus. His posts looked suspicious because of the image preview. I became more suspicious when I saw he also posted it in his dad’s wall. (I mean, if you are browsing some adult content and you are underage, you do not want your parents to know because you will get reprimanded.) I saw him online and I asked if he is really online. Without waiting for the answer, I asked who is he. My guts was telling me that my relative’s account got hacked. He replied and said he was a classmate of my relative and that he accidentally clicked on something using that account. He said he already texted my relative to inform him. Then I asked the classmate if he knew that he triggered a virus. Then there was no response.

I immediately created a shout-out to my relatives on my wall and in our group warning them about the said link. And I really hope no one clicked the link out of curiosity.

See, that is the problem of this generation’s teeners. They are very curious and they hate taking precautions. They do not think before they click. They do not know what is safe and not. And even if they know, they do not practice it! That is why they end up infecting their accounts and gadgets.

Now, I do not know what will happen to that FB account. Spammers, virus and other malware and online threat are everywhere. If we do not learn how to safely use the powerful Internet, we will end up divulging private things online and we can get into more serious troubles.

Safe Internet usage should really be part of Computer lessons at school and at home.
