Hundred and one

I can’t believe it!

I actually tried tracking them after reading a similar post from Czaroma. It was inspiring! But after a while, I got tired and thought that I’ll never achieve this because laziness keeps me company every now and then.

But lo and behold, I did it! Even if laziness strikes me from time to time, even when I cannot think what to post, even when I’m not sure what my readers think of my posts, I achieved it.

This morning, I checked my profile to see when I started with blogger. It said November 2004. I checked my old posts to verify and indeed, my first post was in November 11, 2004. In 35 days, this blog will turn 5 years old. Five years of memories, of friendship, of discoveries. I never realized that until I put up the blogoversary widget.

101 PostsI never thought it would be possible, but it is. I’m really thankful to all of YOU for inspiring me, for keeping this blog site alive. I am really overwhelmed by the visitors and comments I get everyday. I am thrilled to reply to them. I am eager to participate to weekly memes. Even if it is crunch time at work, I make sure I find time to blog and blog hop. I never felt so into blogging before until recently.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALL OF YOU. This hundred and two post is for all of you. I hope you continue visiting this site, reading my blog and sharing with me your thoughts.

Ruby Tuesday #1

Having a sister-in-law abroad have its own perks, one of which is that we don’t have to buy over-priced and highly expensive stuff for Ayex here in the Philippines.

Ruby Tuesday

Below is one of her presents for Ayex in the early months that she left us. To date, this is still Ayex’s favorite stuff toy. Anywhere we go where she finds his picture, she would instantly squeal in happiness and keeps on saying his name until we start looking at him too.

There was even a time when she refused to take off her little dress with him on the print even if she was wearing it for the whole day already. Worried that she will continue to use the same clothe for days, I asked my brother to buy her several sleeveless shirts in Baclaran with him as print. I even told my brother not to bother getting different designs as long as he’s on the print I’m fine with that. He ended up getting 6 pieces of the shirt and 2 shorts all with his face and body for only PhP200 (about 4 usd). My little girl was soooo thrilled when her uncle gave her her new stuff.

Recognizing A Stoke Attack

I got the information below from Beng as a forwarded email. Actually, I received similar emails several times already from the past and I still think that it is worth re-posting. If we’re informed, we will be able to save lives – that’s for sure.

Doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S – Ask the individual to SMILE.
T – Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE coherently. Example: It is sunny out today.
R – Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

Now, there is a new sign of Stroke – ask the person to STICK OUT HIS/HER TONGUE. If the tongue is crooked, if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke.

A cardiologist says if everyone who reads this sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

I have done my part. Will you?

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
