M and Her First Sight Words

I am sooooo ecstatic! M, our youngest, just read her first set of sight words!!!! I am so giddy that even as I type this post, I can hear her read HE – SHE – IT, even when she is not anymore.

If you happen to read my previous posts, I mentioned that M just started schooling this year. Compared to her other classmates who attended nursery last year, this is M’s first encounter with most of her lessons. She was able to adjust to the lessons for the first quarter and now, she is adjusting again because the teachers introduced a new way of doing things at school.

You will also remember that among all M’s subjects, Reading is the hardest to teach. I did not have proper teaching education and so I always consult with her teachers on how they teach their lesson at school so that I may apply the same technique when tutoring M at home to avoid confusion. Otherwise, teaching M will cause me a headache big time or we will end up fighting.

And so I am so happy that she was able to read HE-SHE-IT all by herself today! These are actually words, right? I was suppose to guide her answer the reviewer I made for their quiz but she was able to answer the worksheet all by herself!!! I am just a proud mom right now, pardon me. Below is a screenshot of the work sheet I made.

She was working on her worksheet beside me and I clearly heard her say each work as she said them.

Congratulations, baby!!!! Keep it up!

Common health issues you may be missing

People today are much more concerned with their health than in the past. Despite the increased emphasis on health, there are still common health issues that people can miss. It is also important to realize that while much of the discussion is around physical health, maintaining a healthy mental state is just as important.

Sometimes it is difficult to diagnose a condition because the symptoms are similar to another condition, or the symptoms are generalized, such as headaches, or a feeling of fatigue.

There are a number of conditions that are frequently missed or misdiagnosed. Irritable bowel syndrome is often misdiagnosed because there is no test for the condition. Coeliac disease is also commonly missed. Common symptoms are joint pain, itchy skin, headaches and reflux. Rheumatoid arthritis is a difficult condition to diagnose because the symptoms are very similar to other conditions characterized by aching joints. Hypothyroidism is frequently mistaken for a natural age-related problem, because in its early stages the symptoms are subtle. Symptoms include muscle aches, dry skin, weight gain and forgetfulness.

Irritable bowel syndrome is only likely to be diagnosed if a patient displays symptoms for at least three days in three consecutive months. Other conditions can be diagnosed using blood tests or tests such as an MRI scan. [Read more…]

Ceelin Plus: The Best Added Protection for Our Girls

And we are back to regular programming! Boohoooo! Kidding!

We managed to go out of town for the long weekend to attend an important family affair despite the crazy weather.

Luckily, my whole family made it through the crazy weekend weather without getting sick, specially the girls. Prior to the trip, I made sure that their body is ready for the get away. Bawal magkasakit kasi mapupurnada ang lakad. So apart from giving them nutritious food, making them exercise and nagging them to get enough rest, I also give them additional protection from Ceelin Plus. At kasama yan sa mga iniimpake ko tuwing aalis.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
