My Wish for Ate Yam

Ate Meriam or Yam is my every trusted helper. She is the one who almost raised Ayex from baby until now. And she took care of Maxyn from baby until now that she is one year old. She is very helpful in everything that we need. Other than the usual household chores, she also help in repairing our clothes for she knows how to sew. Ah, when will I ever start on my sewing projects?

Anyway, I taught her to use Facebook recently. I created a new email address for her because FB says that the email address she is using is already invalid. Since then, she borrows Ayex’s netbook to practice when the girls are already sleeping. How I wish we can give her her own lappy. She said she is fine with refurbished netbooks as long as she will be able to use it and it has no problems what ever.

She still needs to practice being online and there are a lot more things she will learn. What I like about her is that she is persistent and enthusiastic.

PF #7: Hello Kitty Backpack

I was in our summer outing when hubby decided to buy Ayex’s school stuff. Since I was not there, I was not included in the selection process. On the first day of school, after leaving all of Ayex’s things at school, we were left with an empty stroller. Because of that, I said we need to buy Ayex a smaller school bag, preferably something I could carry on my own when I fetch Ayex with Maxyn (I will blog later why.).

When we went to the nearby mall two Mondays ago, I was not expecting that we will be able to buy the perfect bag. The reason is that, when we went to SM, all the bags that we check are way beyond my budget which is only PhP300, maximum of PhP400. So I was not expecting that we will go home that time with this very cute bag.

This Ayex’s second pick. I like her first choice than this but it has dust stains at the straps that is why I asked her to choose another design. My little girl knows what is pretty, right? And did I already mention that it is within my budget at may suli pa!

Jump Shot Stories

This is my entry to Levy’s contest.

I really wanted to join this contest because I know madami akong pictures na jump shots. Paanong hindi eh parang naging signature pose na ito mula nung nauso? Sino nga ba ang nagpauso ng pose na ito? Anyway, here are a few of my favorite shots and their stories behind. Enjoy!

This photo was taken March 2010. My SIL had a short vacation and we hit Bolinao, Pangasinan. Before ending the whole trip, napagkasunduan na dumaan na kami ng Hundred Islands since nasa area na rin naman kami. Going 7 months akong preggy jan kay Maxyn if I am not mistaken. Hindi yun joke noh. I click mo yung image para makita mo ng mas malinaw na buntis talaga ako. Hahaha!

Bago ang jump shot na yan, umakyat muna kami sa viewing deck ng Governor’s Island. Sabi ko nga sa post ko noon, para akong umayak ng 16 floors from the ground na ang tatarik ng steps! Still, I made it at tignan ninyo, naka jum shot pa ako! Sabi ni SIL, baka yun ang dahilan kaya si Maxyn ngayon ay super likot. At 1yo, inaakyat niya ang mga sofa namin! Not only that, proven water baby siya talaga kasi siguro noon, wala rin akong patawad sa swimming kahit buntis ako sa kanya. So ngayon, kahit nangingitim na ang labi niya sa lamig, walang keber, swimming lang ng swimming!

This photo was taken after the Bolinao getaway. Yes, lumagari kami last year kahit na ang laki-laki ko at hirap na hirap akong magtravel. Super pagod but everything was worth it. Tignan ninyo na lang itong jump shot ni Ayex. Bawing-bawi na yung pagod ng travel namin na 4 hours from Manila.

Ayex, being a pre-schooler, typical na makulit, matanong, at madaldal. Minsan talagang nakakapiga siya at nakaka-ubos ng patience but when I see pictures of her like this one, I am reminded na bata siya and must be treated like that. Napapawi naman lahat ng inis ko at pagod sa kanya sa konting kiss at hug. Minsan may bonus pang Mommy, I love you. I guess yun talaga ang pinaka reward ng pagiging Mommy.
