Sixteen Days to Go

In a couple of weeks, I will be turning a year older. I have been really blessed and for that I am truly grateful. I may not be rich materially but deep inside me, I am contented and quite satisfied with my life. I already asked hubby what he will be giving me but he returned the question to me. Well, he did the right thing, didn’t he? The problem with me is that my practicality almost always gets in the way. I stick with the priorities as much as I can and the wishes in the list that I have are not in the priorities, not even close. Hahaha! Am I being too hard on myself? I do not think so. I just want us to realize that dream home soon.

The other day, over lunch, I told the hubby to just buy me a bouquet of Ferrero Rocher. Let us see what will happen. By any chance you have any gift ideas you think I deserve? Drop me a comment.

Wear Me!!!!!

If my shoes can talk, they will probably screaming that to me whenever they can. My closed shoes that is.

You see, I have become a sandals/slippers person. Since I quite my work and stayed home, I rarely go out. And when I do, I always wear what gives my feet the most comfort, sandals. If my memory serves me right, I was still working when I last wore my new gray ballet flats.

Two Saturdays ago, I tried experimenting my look. We are going to the mall after Ayex’s ballet class. I wore a mini skirt and the new boots I got from a thrift shop. Yes, I have not blogged about that, I know. Anyway, it really fits me well. But at the end of all the walking we did, I ended up with hurting toes.

Last Sunday, when we went to Quiapo to buy Ayex’s United Nations’ costume, I wore that gray ballet flats for a change. And my toes hurt again after the trip.

I guess this is a sign that my feet are no longer accustomed in wearing closed footwear, which is bad. I feel bad too that I am unable to wear them anymore. So from now on, every weekend, I will wear closed shoes. Sayang mga sapatos ko, eh! I just hope my toes will not develop any callous or paltos.

I Heart Lay Bare Waxing Salon

I am a month overdue for my underarm waxing schedule. Today, I sneaked out, left Maxyn with Ate Rose, and went to Lay Bare Waxing Salon in Congressional after dropping Ayex to school.

They just renovated their place. There are now six private cubicles and the flooring is much nicer than before. Ate Mheann, my usual therapist is free when I came in so I did not wait.

At first, I was only up for underarm waxing. For one, I thought the money in my wallet is just enough for that. And second, I did not notice the my eyebrows have become bushy until I saw them in their mirror. I checked my cash too see that there is still enough and I can have an eyebrow threading too. When Ate Mheann came in, I told her to do my eyebrows too. While she does my underarm, she bragged that they have radio already. And I could not believe that Lay Bare has their own radio station! There is a usual plugging of services and I was reminded of their freebies during a client’s birth month. You get 15% off on your total bill plus a free eyebrow threading! Isn’t that love love love?

Eyebrow Threading

I have a hairless underarm, I have pretty and clean eyebrows (that matches my personality) and I only paid PhP127.50, exclusive of tip. Not to mention that the therapists in Lay Bare Congressional are all very friendly and I feel very at home there. That is why even if there are other branches near me, I still go in the Congressional branch.
