Amoebiasis

The little angel has amoeba, many of them, as per her lab results in her tummy. Our pedia said it makes the tummy cringe in pain because the amoeba makes holes and cuts in the intestines. That explains why the little angel was so cranky and fussy.

Despite that, the two of us managed to be at the laboratory as early as 7 in the morning last Saturday for her urine test. After we got the results, we went back home so prepare our ballerina for her class. The plan was to drop her by the school before I and the sickly angel see our pedia. But since daddy heed my call to come home early the previous night, he was able to accompany the ballerina.

I was worried that the pedia will tell me to admit the little angel but I was already psyching myself the night before. I asked for prayers and we were answered. I was prescribed with 2 anti-biotics and was strictly told to give them to the little angel as soon as I can. And was reminded not to stop prematurely with the medication.

Many more things happened that day, including a visit to a quack-like-dentist who is accredited by our health card. Good thing I did not cancel the first appointment I made, what the quack-like-dentist did were undone.

Because this mommy had to prioritize the kids, there were schedules that she had to forego like the get together with her mommy friends as well as her plan to purchase movies for a weekend movie marathon.

Tan is Beautiful

I guess that is one of the reasons why white men go here in the Philippines during summer. Tan is a nice skin color and they want it themselves. Ironically, many Filipinos who are already tanned want to become as white as snow! Contentment, where are you? So I say, love the skin you are in. *peace*

But if you really want to get a tan but the beach is too far, there are other ways you can get one. You can use spray on tan for a quick sun-kissed-skin look. I think this is what models in fashion shows mostly do. It can work well with you as long as you use the best tanning products available.

I am between tan and white, we call it morena, and I love it.

Window Blinds or Curtain?

Here in our current home, all our window panels have curtains installed to cover us from the hot sun. When it is too hot, we pull the curtains and put them all on the side of the windows so more air can come in.

In my mom’s home in Las Pinas, our bedrooms have window blinds. It also protects us from the sun’s rays and view from outside. When it is hot, we either expands it so air can pass through each panel or we pull it up altogether. The design can be boring though as we have the plain colors. We could have opted for chic with nature effect using Bamboo shades but the supplier run out of stocks.

Between the two, I think I’d prefer the curtain. It may include more after work (installation, washing, replacing) but it can be more flexible too. Well, I guess I can have both in my own house. 😉
