No Holy Week Getaway

In a couple of week’s time, Lenten Season will officially start with Ash Wednesday. As early as now,I have been bugging hubby about our Holy Week plans. The past years, we have been hitting the road and spending it in other places. We spent 2009 in Ilocos and 2011 in Pangasinan.

This year though, we are preparing for some big moves but we are still discerning and trying to realize what God really wants for us. With that, hubby decided that we are not travelling for Holy Week this year. He joked that we will just bring out the kiddie pools that we have and just rent a swimming pool pump if needed.

The big plans entail a lot of moolah and I clearly understand that it is our priority rather than travelling. So maybe, we will just have a simple swimming party here at home. Maybe some of the kids’ friends can even join us!

What Does Your Name Mean?

I was asked this question many times already. I really think it can be a great conversation starter, if only the person who asked genuinely wanted to know and the person asked knows the answer.

I anticipated that my children will also be asked the same question in the future. I am actually practicing already in my mind how I will explain to them where their dad and I got their names. No, they are far from celebrity baby names but they are meaningful for us.

Where They Got Those?

Maxyn was playing with the Ferrari car my dad got Alex when Shell was still running a promo for it. The car is a track-back type (if that is how it is called). Max just loves to see it run from one spot to the other. Actually, she likes chasing it more.

Not that I am encouraging Max to play with cars, which is generally toys for boys but I was reminded of the revell models I saw along with model houses we checked out at the mall a few weeks back. The model cars were really gorgeous, they were more of an eye candy than the houses! I bet those are collectors items. I would love to know where do they get those. It wouldn’t hurt if I get my girls a piece or two, right?
