I have been reading lots of rants about the Fair Usage Policy being implemented by leading telecom providers in my Facebook feed.
I am not subscribed to Globe telecom’s unli-data plan but I do connect to the Internet using data charge as I have a consumable plan. I connect mostly via wifi. But even so, I think this Fair Usage Policy also affects me, as it ensures that everyone is able to utilize data connection fairly.

We’re a Globe subscriber, and we upgraded our plan last year, but we encountered problems after we switched plans. As a subscriber, I can only suggest to Globe that whatever plans they’re offering that they should make it clear what those plans cover and also deliver the quality of service that they promised their subscribers.
at least they clarified it because it is bit confusing naman talaga. Good thing they made a graphical view!
Well, it was bound to happen. Most telcos worldwide have fair usage policies. The only problem is the words they use to advertise can be a bit misleading. At least now, they’re explaining exactly what an “unlimited” plan entails 🙂
I agree that it is a good move to really explain what “unlimited” means. I think most people who availed of such plans really expected to have “infinity” connection but I don’t understand why they have to use data that much for mobile browsing. Why not connect through wifi?
It’s a good thing I don’t really put much thought into it kasi sa totoo lang di ko din msyadong maintindihan, too technical for me hahaha

Hahaha! At least this graphical view is much easier to understand no? Dapat bawat new subscriber for unlimited plans should get a copy.
