Permanent Blow Dry

A few months ago, as I was scanning my notifications from various group buying sites, I saw a deal that offers permanent blow dry. For someone who has straight but unmanageable hair like me, blow dry is the way to go if I want to have a nice volume. I had my hair rebonded December of 2010 and have not undergone any treatment since then. Recently, I had my hair cut short and now it is giving me tons of insecurities! LOL. My hair just don’t dry well and I end up having fly-away strands here and there. But I do not want to have it rebonded anymore because I figured, I do not want a very straight hair. I simply want a hair style that is not frizzy and buhaghag.

I did not bother so search my mails for that deal because it will be pointless, the deal is over for sure. So I checked Mr. G, hoping to find a new deal. But after reading on what it does, I think I will not go for it anymore. From what I read, the chemical used in this treatment contains high levels of formaldehyde and is seriously risky. Even the salon professionals who use them do not even know that! I was really scared as I was reading up on it in the forum thread I found. Be vigilant with every deal that you will purchase. If you have availed of this treatment, let us know how is it and if what was written is true.

As for my hair and the insecurities it is giving me, I will just wait for it to pass. Hahaha!

I used to want my hair to be really straight but now I want it to be curly. I’m actually thinking of having a digital perm.

weLL, i can relate to having that unmanageable hair. so last December 2010, i have decided to get my hair permed. at least, that move saved me from worrying on how my hair looks every time i go out of our house.
oh well, i’m hoping for the best for our crowning glory ^_^

Brazilian Blowout ba yan? I recently read from some American standard institute or something, the danger is only during the application process. So during application of the chemical, the place must be well-ventilated. It shouldn’t be a problem after it has been applied and washed.

I checked that out din, not as part of a deal or anything but offered to me by the stylist at a salon I go to… mahal! P5k ang minimum (for short hair).

Yun nga yun, Janelle. So hindi naman xa harmful talaga? Gusto ko talaga nun eh. Ayoko na kasi pa rebond uli. Sobrang bagsak lang, di ko type.

hehe pareho tayo. ayoko ng super straight, gusto ko lang soft, smooth and silky ang hair ko. ok lang ‘yan, your hair is probably reacting to all that snipping done.

re formaldehyde: yes, meron talaga. even those brands of shampoo that promise “super straight hair”, merong formaldehyde. nagkaroon ng issue about it years back bec there’s this popular shampoo brand that had it in their list of ingredients. they removed it na, but i suspect they still use the ingredient.

Malamang derivatives of formaldehyde na lang ang nilalagay nila at since hindi naman natin memorize ang mga names ng chemicals, hindi rin natin alam.

Ay nako, sana mejo humaba na ng konti ang hair ko. LOL
