Another Toxic Weekend

There is just a week left before our little ballerina’s grand recital at Meralco theater and they have practices even on Sundays!

Today, we attended a 1st birthday celebration. We made the girls wear identical dresses, which was a hit to the visitors who know them. Many cannot believe that Maxyn is a girl and that she is just 10-months-old. I hate it when they think my precious baby is a boy because of her short hair.

After the birthday, we went to the mall to get some groceries. I let Ayex play some arcade games that earned her tickets, which she exchanged for candies! After that, the hubby some new polos. While he was paying, Maxyn kept on shouting. She only stopped when she was given some candy to taste. Then Ayex also chimed in that she is already hungry. I bought some breads from the supermarket’s bakery, which made me think I am such a bread eater. Hubby sort or craved for halo-halo so we went to Iceberg! After that, we went to the grocery, but did not get a lot because hubby said the prices are too steep compared to where we usually get our supplies! He only bought the ingredients of his saging con yelo for tomorrow.

I hope after the recital, Sundays would be spent at home again. I miss waking up late on weekends.

Wow! I got tired from only reading your post. I know what you mean though about preferring Sundays to be your rest-day. Sarap magpahinga!

By chance, Mareng Nicquee…is your daughter enrolled in the Irma Bringas Aguado (IBA) Ballet troupe? Kasi my sister used to be part of the IBA, and their recitals are always timed during the summer and held at the Meralco also. And I remember her practicing in Kapitolyo, Pasig even on weekends! Hehehe…But you know what? Though my sister didn’t pursue ballet, the balletic influence it had on her never went away. Like the discipline in eating, dancing techniques, overall posture and grace.
