That is how I started my own business.
It started when my eldest daughter discovered the joy of removing the tape of her diaper. She has it on then when you look at her; she is already diaper-less! I guess it is the snapping sound that the tape makes when removed that amused her which is why she kept on doing it even outside our home. Since we cannot afford to have her in tow without diapers, I looked for some training pants or pull ups diaper online. I did not want to settle for those in the supermarkets as they are very pricey!
That is how I met my diaper supplier. I saw that diaper business has huge potential as you will never run out of customers, infant and adult alike. After trying the products to Ayex, I was convinced and put up my own buy and sell business. For two years, I have a self-sustaining small business. We get several packs for different sizes from our supplier and inform our clients what is available. Hubby delivers the diapers on his way to work or during weekends. I, on the other hand, meet up clients on places I pass by to and from work. It was not really hard when you get used to carrying bulky diaper packs.
During the course of our business, the price of gas kept on going up and it affects us because we use a car to deliver the diapers. As much as we wanted to increase our delivery charge, we could not because we want to retain our loyal clients. That same time, motorcycle Philippines is becoming popular and we really thought of getting one for delivery purposes.
However, I have no one to do the deliveries full time. I do not have someone who is knowledgeable about motorcycle parts information or simply someone who will drive the motorcycle full time. Time came that I became too busy with work and got pregnant with my second child. I was no longer able to manage the business well. With heavy heart, I decided to stop our operation in Las Pinas. Regret fills me up when old clients text me to inquire what is available and all I can tell them is we are not operating anymore. Some of them still get diapers from us on an order basis until now and I am grateful to these clients for their loyalty. We still have some stocks here in Quezon City but we are not actively selling them. We just have a signage outside our home and people come to inquire and buy. We do not deliver yet but I hope in the coming months, we can revive this business.
You can sell them online. Delivery be Xend is very cheap.
i am a part time realtr and AYOS dito HELPED me a lot. maganda talga dn ang online selling!
i am thinking of putting up a small business.. thanks for the info here.
having your own business is really great.. great work!
Now I am planning to put up my business in ayosdito.ph too!
it’s great that you still have loyal customers…i’m sure pag nagdecide kayo na gawing kasing active ulit gaya ng dati yung business niyo eh mas dadami pa ang customers niyo… good luck, sis !
The site is really useful.. I still remember a trader from Girltalk who kept on selling diapers.. at first she was okay and even attended our EB but after a while, she didnt deliver anymore pero kahit nag advance payment na nako.. oh well, lessons learned!
awww. sorry to hear your bad experience sis. sinong seller yan?
Anong diaper yan ate? Parang gusto ko i-try.. π
Pinay Mama
Phoebe’s Blissful Life
Baguio Boy
Baguio Food
The diapers we sell Phoebe are not the same as the ones in the market. Imported sila and the quality are same, if not better, with huggies, pampers, eq and even mamy poko.
that seems like a lucrative business. Maybe in time, you’ll get back in the swing of things :). as long as you’re passionate about it, I’m sure you’ll succeed. timing lang din siguro?
In time sis, you’ll certainly get all that back…
Nkakapanghinayang talaga when you came to love your business, pero you can always come back and be active again. π
wow, gusto ko rin ito, puwedeng puwede talaga sa ayosdito!
I’m sure you’d be able to get your business back in no time! π How about using LBC or something like that and have the buyer shoulder the delivery cost? I’m not sure how much that would cost though…. π
aw sis, I badly need a diaper supplier coz my eldest is still wearing one, waaah ang mahal ng XXL na Dryper’s! huhu, sige browse ko din yang AyosDito and hopefully eh makakita na kakasya.. Thanks sis!
